Worst Celebrity Plastic Surgery Outcomes? In your opinion, what were the top three worst plastic surgery outcomes that celebrities underwent? Try to show a before and after picture, as well. If you can't, that's okay, though.
who sings the song that comes out in the new E!'s the 20 best and worst celebrity plastic surgery stories? It's a song that has this girl singing <oh la la la la la la> followed by a male voice that sings, <who says you are what you are>,-- its sounds like a pop song.
What song plays during 20 Best / Worst Celebrity Plastic Surgery Stories? When the title card is shown before or after a commercial break, there is a song that plays. The only lyrics I can make out are, "La la la, la la la la," which is sung by a female voice. And then some lyrics sung by a male voice that I can't distinguish. I saw this show on E! or Vh1. I'm not sure whether it's an actual song, or a little tune made especially for the show. Any answer is heavily appreciated. (:
Celebrity Plastic Surgery Disasters??? I just saw a pic of Dolly Parton in TV Guide and *GASP* she looked like she just stepped out a wax museum! Then I started thinking about Michael Jackson, Joan Rivers and all the other celebrities who became human-freakazoids under the knife. Who are your own personal picks for Worst Celebrity Plastic Surgery Disasters?
Which celebrity has the worst plastic surgery? I think it's Courtney Cox. She was beautiful before. Now one of her eyes are botched, and her mouth doesn't look right. Why would you do that to yourself?
Which male celebrities are good and bad examples of plastic surgery? Bruce Jenner's nose job comes to mind as a bad example of plastic surgery. Michael Jackson goes without saying.
Would you consider plastic surgery? After seeing these mishaps I have to say no. http://www.topsocialite.com/the-15-worst-celebrity-plastic-surgery-disasters-you-will-ever-see/

What do you think about botox and plastic surgery? I mean i have been seeing a lot of celebrity's, that have been having botox and plastic surgery done, and i am thinking they don't look natural anymore :/ they look unnatural :/ Do you find guys find that attractive? http://www.thatshideous.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/nikki-cox-lips.jpg http://www.topsocialite.com/the-15-worst-celebrity-plastic-surgery-disasters-you-will-ever-see/ i know women are WAY more picky than men, but what do you think? I mean i could not live with a person, that had one Expression on there face all the time :/
why do some blacks on here try to say blacks dont get plastic surgery? All races have gotten it sure some people or some whites get it more than others. but on this section filled with pointless racist actions. Why dosent 1 group just grow up and stop arguing back, than if no one is defending themselves on a stupid internet form, the other group will evantually stop. sense they think they won the stupid racist BS anyhow i doubt more than 2% of all women in the world will get plastic surgery sure in the UK, and USA and Mexico and Canada and Japan its more common or in India but people of all races get surgerys and if you notice usually major major celebrity tend to regardless of race http://www.topsocialite.com/the-15-worst-celebrity-plastic-surgery-disasters-you-will-ever-see/
Question concerning Plastic Surgery? Does anybody have an links to pages showing REALLY BAD plastic surgery - celebrities or not. Doesn't matter. And?
Bad Plastic Surgery: Why don't some celebrities (& regular people that for matter) know when to draw the line? And stop f-ing with their face!? Take Laura Flynn Boyle, for example, and her transformation over the years... Before (at her very best, IMO) - http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d4/Kyle_MacLachlan_Lara_Flynn_Boyle_Emmy_Awards_1990.jpg After having had a little work done - http://images.starpulse.com/pictures/2006/12/26/previews/Lara%20Flynn%20Boyle-SGG-026287.jpg And now...just complete fvckery - http://www.laineygossip.com/pics/boyle%20surgery%2010dec10%20%2001.jpg ...why do celebrities keep doing this to themselves? They cannot possibly think getting bad plastic surgery is better than aging (possibly) badly...do they? LOL...said the girl w/ the MJ avatar. Give me a break.
Do you ever think that celebrities with too much plastic surgery look like aliens? ? Or is it just me? What do they look like to you? Describe the worst of the worst in celebrity plastic surgery in your opinion and be sure to list what it reminds you of.....Links and pics are welcome of course and lists always get a thumbs up too! I will give a thumbs up for any decent answer! Here is the best example I found: http://www.totallyupyours.com/488dbc0c993bc-madonna_is_old.html Good analogy here! Madonna DOES look like Skeletor! Something looks weird with her face.....too little body fat, too much botox, too large of cheek implants. I don't think she really looks old, she just looks bizarre...Personally I would rather look 50 and normal than look 30 and bizarre! Eventually everyone ends up looking old no matter what they do. I think minimal plastic surgery is ok, but some people really overdo it and and up looking old and WEIRD! What are your thoughts on this?
Which celebrity's obvious plastic surgery do you dislike the most? And what do you think they've had done? I admire Terri Hatcher's coming forward with her abuse story, but she's fooling herself if she thinks we believe she's never had plastic surgery. How about Lisa Rinna's bursting upper lip? And MEg Ryan's terrible cheek implants? I've been watching 'The Tudors' on Showtime and british cutie Gabrielle Anwar looks like she's gotten her lips plumped up to massivev porportions. Ugh. I guess it's not enough to be pretty in Hollywood- you have to be perfect, and that is leading people (especially actresses) down the wrong path. How about you? Who (other than Michael Jackson...that's like shooting fish in a barrel!) would you nominate for worst plastic surgery? Painting P's, that's socialite Jocelyn Wildenstein, and yes, I think she is close to being the worst. Pete Burns of 80's band 'Dead or Alive' comes to mind. http://www.hollywoodrag.com/images/uploads/pete_burns_total_freak.jpg If you haven't already, check out www.awfulplasticsurgery.com- great site!!
Which celebrity do you think got the worst plastic surgery? Pricilla Presley is pretty messed up. Oh, I love how Seth added pics!
plastic surgery- a bad thing? Hi all, im into kpop and ive done some researching on kpop-stars and korean actors/actress.. im shocked about those i found pretty, had all done some minor surgery or more. i really thought they were natural beauty... so my question is: when those celebrity that gets plastic surgery to enhance or total renovate their looks get kids, and they 'transfer' their genes to the next generation, then their kids wont look as beautiful as them, and their kids get plastic surgery too to look as good as their parents, and it will continue so on with the other generations. so at the end what they got left is 'ugly' people because so many ppl faked their looks so they breeded their ugly genes and outcompeded those with natural beauty.. (i just took korea as an example, but u can use japan in this case too or the US for that matter)
Plastic Surgery/ Nose Job? Why do people have them? I see a lot of young celebrity having plastic surgery & nose jobs and their noses look worse after the surgery. What a joke. Why do young people have plastic surgery? ? ? ? ? What the heck do you need a fake nose for ?
What celebrity do you think looks worse because of their plastic surgery? A few I have noticed Joan Rivers-just hideous, I'd get my money back Katie Couric-look at her mouth.....a scowl Melanie Griffith-Look at the lips, she also has a permanent scowl
Has Meg Ryan's new look (after plastic surgery) changed the way you feel about her? She was one of my favorite, or my favorite romantic comedy actress, but one day she decided she wanted to change the type of movies, lose the image that had made her so popular, she had her lips shooted with collagen and I don't know whatelse, but she doesnt' look the same anymore... She still a good actress, but she lost that cute look she had, she was so naturally beautiful before...now she looks like all those artificial looking actresses that spend too much time under their plastic surgeon's knife...she didn't have to do this, it's too bad....she looks like plastic and artificiall What about you, has it changed how you feel about her, would you still watch her new movies? Cute face before : http://hairbrained.files.wordpress.com/2008/01/meg-ryan-hair.jpeg Before/after pictures : http://j-walkblog.com/old/images/megr.jpg http://j-walkblog.com/old/images/mryanthennow.jpg http://plasticsergeant.com/uploads/Cu/N9/CuN9WRYcKlgN4JfPbgXGSQ/celebrities_plastic_surgery.jpg Seashell : I'm not shallow, I just think its a shame that she changed her natural, beautiful and young look for an artificial one. She's still the same person inside, she didn't need to do this...she was perfect just the way she was....I have no problem with someone fixing a flaw that's been bothering you all your life, then go ahead and do it...but why fix something that's not broken...
Celebrities that age...? I really don't know how to put it, but I came across this website... http://www.popcrunch.com/14-worst-celebrity-plastic-surgeries/ It's basically celebrities who use plastic surgery. They have before and after pictures, I find it so sad how some of the people on there use to be so beautiful but then they age and lose their youth and try to reclaim it with plastic surgery. They must feel bad seeing all the new young stars entering hollywood and they lose their fame and spotlight. The ones that stood out to me were Sophia Loren, Lisa Rinna, Linda Evans and Janice Dickenson They were so pretty in their youth, but as they aged they had all this plastic surgery done. I'm not trying to hate or anything, I know aging is inevitable and its part of life, but it must be hard for them to lose their youth and in the public eye too. Do you think that all celebrities, even the current ones will suffer the same fate? Will all the young and beautiful actors and actresses lose their fame and beauty as they grow older?
Will celebrities all suffer the same fate? Do you think its bad that a mother got plastic surgery to look like her daughter? You know when I first saw the title and read this my first instict was "gross!" But now that it's settled for a bit I actually don't think it's that bad she had a boob job (well before the new work), and then got her eyes and nose done (which in today's times isn't much) oh oops and her lips plumped. My mom has got her breasts done, and her eyes because she is a performer (classical violinist), and was single so she wanted to make herself feel better (mind you she didn't get DD's she has full B's and her eyelids were drooping giving her migraines and Kaiser offered to do it for free for the medical reasons). So overall I think the only weird part is that she looks like her daughter... Although people get cosmetic surgery all the time and ask their doctors to make them look like a certain celebrity and people don't think that's weird. This mother looks great for her age! And even though the before picture of her doesn't make her look to great if any of you know people who have gotten plastic surgery (atleast those procedures) you know that to look as good as she does now she must have looked decent before. On a side note, kudos to her for loosing her weight the right way (through diet and exercise) versus getting it all suctioned out! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1170348/The-50-year-old-mother-spent-10-000-surgery-look-like-daughter.html
WHICH CELEBRITY DO YOU THINK HAD THE BEST PLASTIC SURGERY? (Pictures)? Of course to start off, my role model Hilary Duff; who fixed her teeth. http://image.take40.com/300x400/hilary_duff_300x400.jpg Ashlee Simpson, I think she looks better now that she had her nose job. http://www.splendicity.com/celeblook/files/2007/09/ashlee-simpson-cateyes.jpg Next up, Fergie, who btw, looks a whole lot better than what she did before. http://www.hollywood-celebrity-pictures.com/Celebrities/Fergie/Fergie-17.JPG Victoria Beckham who had her boobs done, and I usually don't like the boob jobs that celebrities do, but hers is not that bad. http://www.makemeheal.com/news/images/victoria-beckham-breast-implants-3.jpg And last but not least, Lady Gaga, if you didn't see her nose before, then you couldn't tell a difference, but it looks soo much better (: http://images.starpulse.com/news/media/Lady-Gaga-jet-1.jpg Now vote on which celebrity you think was the smartest when it came to plastic surgery?
Why do you care if celebs have plastic surgerys? seriously? why do people get obsessed with celebrity plastic surgery? example Kim Kardashian has a big butt and she says its real and why do people keep saying its fake? if she said its real in MANY interviews why do people say its fake? is it jealousy? and why is it so bad to have plastic surgery? its a sign of wealth and some people just have it to boost their confidence, or am i missing something? because i dont think its trashy, so why are people like SHES NOT NATURAL!!!! what do they care? who cares if its not natural it looks nice im not just talking about kim now, im saying many people.
Does anyone know the name of this song? I just finished watching 20 best and worst celebrity plastic surgeries on E. There was this song that was played a lot and i really want to know what it is called. It went like "lalalala lalalala Who says you are who you are?" That's all i know but i tried looking for it and i can't find it. It's killing me!
Why are celebrities with failed plastic surgeries so demonized? People treat it like a moral thing - celeb with 'good' plastic surgery, like Natalie Portman or Winona Ryder = morally appropriate; 'bad' plastic surgery = corrupt and laughable (I'm sure you can think of examples). I get that strange faces are off putting (so are some robots, puppets and dolls - looking too human, or I guess not quite enough, freaks people out) - but it's not like those celebrities thought it would turn out that way! (Except those who've had big breasts put in, I suppose.) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncanny_valley
Who are the best and worst celebrity role models? In your opinion? Of course people will say celebrities like Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan are bad role models.. . It's sad to see that people who I thought were good role models are actually not as good as I thought. It just takes a little researching on the net. Are there any celebrities not associated with :: -drinking/drugs -plastic surgery -harmful weight loss / being too thin in general -nudity -scandals -excessive swearing -being uptight&big-headed -drink driving -being hypocritical? Like for eg Ashlee Simpson said everyone should be happy with themselves, with what they look like... she said she was happy with herself and stuff..then she goes on to get a nose job. There are so many other examples of this. Is there a genuinely nice, sophisticated & mature person in the film/music industry? Please let me know. Thanks everyone .x I dont know why everyone thinks Hayden is a great role model. Sure, she's better than many, but she still parties alot at clubs and stuff..i read in a newspaper she parties with a big party girl I can't remember the name of..maybe Lily Allen or Britney or somebody. It will come to me..~ I agree with you nurmalso987 - I don't look up to celebrities as role models because they are so unpredictable ..I'd rather make my own way to the top =] and learn from my own experiences. I am just wondering who you think has a positive/negative influence on us~
Most worst celeb plastic surgeries what do you think? http://www.bittenandbound.com/2008/06/23/plastic-surgery-disasters/jocelyn-wildenstein/ http://itp.nyu.edu/~bp432/blug/Jocelyn%20Wildenstein%20B%20&% 20A.img_assist_custom.jpg http://themishmash.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/2007/09/30/0928_carrot_top_3reveal_wi_fm_2.jpg http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://weblogs.newsday.com/sports/columnists/jimbaumbach/blog/celebrity-quote-of-the-day-joan-rivers-0.jpg&imgrefurl=http://weblogs.newsday.com/sports/columnists/jimbaumbach/blog/2008/06/the_chicago_norm_debate_rages.html&usg=__VP57hwGLdZy542hQeixN34D95AU=&h=273&w=345&sz=16&hl=en&start=5&um=1&tbnid=BcfcOvbwIHYOeM:&tbnh=95&tbnw=120&prev=/images%3Fq%3Djone%2Brivers%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://cm1.theinsider.com/media/0/84/5/lil-kim-nose-2.0.0.0x0.450x445.jpeg&imgrefurl=http://www.theinsider.com/photos/1026669_Lil_Kim_Fixes_Her_Bad_Nose_Job&usg=__wrOLJnTYL_tLX3bAVUBHJxPwkx4=&h=445&w=450&sz=37&hl=en&start=2&tbnid=wvtLUtVtQZ8cWM:&tbnh=126&tbnw=127&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dlilkim%2Bnose%2Bjob%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG
If you have a tattoo, body piercing (besides the ears), or have ever had plastic surgery please click on this? I have to do a research paper for my health class on tattoos, body piercings and people who have had plastic surgery. Please answer the following questions. Answer the question that corresponds to you. 1.What motivated you to get tattoo, body piercing, and or plastic surgery? 2.What does your tattoo symbolize? (Ex. dragon, barb wire, heart etc.) Why? What motivated you to get that symbol? 3.What body part did you get the tattoo on and why? 4.What body part did you get your piercing and why? 5. What kind of piercing do you have and why did you chose that one? 6. What plastic surgery did you get? Ex. Breast implants, liposuction etc. and why? 7. Did you look for a specific tattoo/body piercing parlor? Or did you just go to any one you found? Why? 8. Did you look for a specific surgeon when getting your plastic surgery? Or did you just go to any one you found? Why? 9. If under 18 did you get parental consent? 10. Did anyone influence you to get a tattoo? Such as a friend, celebrity etc. 11. From the scale of 1-100 how bad was the pain from tattoo/surgery/piercing? 12. Did you make sure the tattoo/piercing parlor or surgeon was safe and reliable? 13.What where the steps of getting your tattoo/piercing/surgery? Thank you so much if you answered these questions!!! I forgot a question! 14(i think). Do people look at you a certain way? Is it hard to find a job? 15. Where do you work?
Celebrity questions ^.~? Which celeb ~ - Do you wanna be - Dont deserve the spotlight - Had a bad plastic surgery - Are famous and are black - Are famous and are asian - People need to recognize more - Deserve to be famous :)
Why do people have plastic surgery? Recently I been looking into this subject and can't really get my head around why people have it done. Take Michael Jackson for example, he was perfect before and then by the end looked like a skeleton gone wrong. How much money did he waste on plastic surgery? Also some of these celebrities who have had nose jobs, there was nothing wrong with their noses in the first place and to be honest after they had had the surgery it looked worse than before. Oh and breast implants, who in their right mind wants to walk around with massive silicone balls that look about as fake as an artifical christmas tree? Look at Jordon and Dolly Parton? What man would find them attractive with breasts like that? Please can someone answer why people (especially celebrities) waste their money going ahead with plastic surgery?
Can someone tell me who this person is in this video? http://rapidscan.me/video/zZtcW6MKNz4/Celebrity-plastic-surgery-better-or-worse-or-fake.html He's at the time 4:25 and they don't put his name. I've seen him before. Who is he?!
how would you prove you never had plastic surgery before? I know this sounds like a weird question, but how would you prove you never had plastic surgery before? In Asian countries, plastic surgery is a big thing and if you've changed alot from a child, people would make accusations about plastic surgery. This is also a hot topic between Asian idols and celebrities, and I feel bad for those accused, but I can't say I know for sure whether they had plastic surgery or not. I was ugly when I was a kid. I was tan, I hated combing and throughly cleaning my hair, and I really did not care about looks at all. And my parents...well they aren't exactly fashionistas either, and by that I mean THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT IT AT ALL. So, they just let me dress up and do my hair any way I wanted, which I really regret about my childhood. Now, I am a tad more experience in the fashion department, just a tad, but I think I look soo different (in a good way) that it's suprising. How would I prove that I never had plastic surgery before besides the fact that I'm still young and it's illegal to do that? (Just in case I grow up to the age that you're allowed to do plastic surgery and people doubt my high school pictures compared to my middle school and elementary pictures) Does a surgery go on a record or something or can you just show someone that theres no plastic on your skin?
What are the chances of having a failed plastic surgery? Hi, I'm thinking of getting plastic surgery on my face, particulary my eyes and nose. I am wondering what are the chances of a plastic surgery going wrong. I've seen many celebrities who had surgery and it went wrong and now they look even worse than before (Micheal Jackson R.I.P). I know that the chances depend on where u are getting it and who u go to. So can anyone tell me the chances of failed plastic surgery and recommend a cosmetologist's hospital where there are experienced doctors and surgeons who know what they're doing. Like, im not going to an Asian cosmetologist for help
What do you think about celebrities who have gotten plastic surgery? I'm talking about the ones who got it BEFORE they got famous. What do you think? See, I think if a person gets it done for themselves, not because they want other people to like them, then it's ok. What do you think about the celebrities who get it done (like nose jobs and stuff, not Botox and lipo)? I'm not talking about the ones who get it done after they're semi-famous (like Ashlee Simpson). The reason I'm asking about before is because I know people say the ones who get it done after they're famous set a bad example, but what if they're famous after, so when they get it done they're not role models?
Is there a double standard for female celebrities? Ladies, what if your favorite male celebrity had or has plastic surgery, what if you found out that he covers bad acne with concealer, what if he had a defect like a third nipple or one testicle? Would you still find him hot? I ask because some girls here seem to tear into female celebrities, which is fine with me. I just wonder if it works both ways.
Poor katie price (Jordan) does she really deserve all this bad treatment on I'm a celebrity? LOL Hi I must say Kate is really getting what she deserves and asks for in the Jungle challenge. i think the public are bored of her antics , Morals, childcare (lack of) and her manipulation of the press during her recent boring divorce ritual, she does everything for money she is a whore to it. My god she is so ugly too, her plastic surgery is so awful its ruined her perception, where on earth did she dig those Lips from, they look like shoe box lids not Botox. Her face was falling apart in that water tank, is it glued together or what. She is a bad example to girls to follow that is why she is being voted for those disgusting tucker trials. I reckon that the public are peed off with her and antics thats why they want to get rid of her. What do you think? 10 points best/ funniest answer Lee Ann, shes very bad, a whore to fame and money and nothing will get her way to get it. Pete is well shut of that one. A Princess with a council house morals and mentality and she is an insult to council house people, sounds like thats where she is really from. She should shut up, don't drag her divorce into the open and look after her children instead of setting a bad example.
Why do some plastic surgeries bomb? Referring to celebrities. I mean, they all probably paid the same price and everything and i don't think they purposely turn ugly, but why do celebrities either look really good after plastic surgery or really bad ? Really good ones: Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman (I didn't even know she had surgery!), Victoria beckham (she looks hawt), Megan Fox Bombed: LOADSSS. So why is there sucha big difference?! Is it just plain simple that they picked the right surgeon or what? But I don't think its that simple...what happened? **** Because looking at Angelina Jolie's photos, you can tell she had a LOT of surgeries. So I don't think its that some celebrities get too many surgeries and turn ugly....Its not about the amount done
Is it bad for a lady to ask what a guy does for a living during a date? With American society painting the picture that most women prostitute themselves out for the highest bidder isn't asking what a guy does for a living only support for that picture? I haven't met any young women that are interested in really caring and educated guys who have an excellent sense of humor like myself. Most of the young women I have met are more interested in vain things like plastic surgery, celebrities, money, and silly things like American Idol or Star Search and what not. I think that the recent Rhianna controversy is testament that women don't care for guys that treat them well. All they care about is how much money and power their guy has, right? Older women in their 30's and 40's tend to be more interested in funny and intelligent guys like me but I don't think that a cougar would be right for me. Don't get me wrong the cougars are nice but it won't be fun when the woman is 60 and I'm still only 49 or so. What went wrong with the women of my age? The 20 somethings. Do I need to hang a $100 bill on a fishing rod over a girl my age just to catch her attention? Should I give away free makeup cases to solicit for a girlfriend? How does one solicit for a girlfriend?
Why are so many asians, especially koreans, getting plastic surgery? Why are they so desperate to look white? I recently saw a BBC video about Korean plastic surgery and how it's become the plastic surgery capital of Asia with ever more clients flying in from China. And that around 60% of Korean women have had surgery at least once by their 20s. I'm sorry but this statistic sounds a bit sickening to me. Especially when your face is still developing! How come they don't care about looking like everyone else? Aren't they at least a bit concerned about actually being MISTAKEN for the real celebrity their basing their target face on? People already think all asians look alike. Isn't this going to make stereotypes worse? Seems like some readers take offense to the wording. I should correct the term "white", with the term "like people typically found in commercial media". FYI here's a times article written by a Korean: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/04/world/asia/in-south-korea-plastic-surgery-comes-out-of-the-closet.html I personally knew someone who got their eyelid fold done. I'm sorry but it didn't make a lick of difference. She looked perfectly fine before and the same after. And with more Chinese acquiring wealth, they're going to waste money on these ridiculous surgeries instead of concentrating on domestic social problems. It's saddening how they have no respect for individuality. It's not only surgery, but it's make-up, heels, getting dolled up just to run to the grocery store seems like the MINIMUM preparation. We know why women go through a lot of trouble to look a certain way. Large eyes, small chin/nose, red lips, larger boobs/hips- signifies fertility that goes back to the days of the cavemen. But if you travel, you'll notice some populations do this more than others (ranges from countries to industries to cities to suburbs). Hollywood has a huge culture of fakeness no doubt, that's the industry and they're on camera all the time. But why would women, who haven't even reached any career yet at such a young age do surgery. Is it a sign of wealth? Are the men there more sexist/objectify women more? What's the social mobility rate of women there? How many people would not do a double take if they see a woman running for president or in a CEO's chair? I guess I'm seeking a Freakonomics type of answer. What are the factors that drive a female population *n What are the factors that drive a female population *not in the film/media industry* to undergo more surgeries than any other population in the world? Comparing apples to apples, it would help to only use countries w/the similar GDP. Maybe include countries w/similar poor rates of gender equality (Japan? India?)
California residents:All the plastic surgeries that celebrities get, affecting health care there? I'm hoping to get answers mainly from Southern California residents, because that's where many celebrities live, mainly in Los Angeles, the city and county, but,I'll take answers from non-Southern California residents as well. I work as a cashier at a supermarket in NY state, and,I see lots of "before" and "after" photos of celebrities on several different magazines and "supermarket rags" in front of all the registers in my store. Some of those celebrities look terrible in both their "before" and "after" photos. In fact, they look even phonier, like Heidi Montag. She looked better before all her recent plastic surgery! My main point is,how much of an impact is the cost of all these types of plastic surgeries, much of it unnecessary in my opinion, that these celebrities get,for the overall cost of health insurance and health care in California? I know that California is having some serious financial difficulty in many areas, some of the worst in the nation.
do older women look good after cosmetic surgery? The celebrities seem to be a very poor advert for plastic surgery, in fact some of them look worse than the most weathered of lady. Why do people bother? Do you know any one that looks good after cosmetic surgery. I mean anti aging. Im not talking about people who have had 8 chins removed or facial deformities ty
Do you think Pamela Anderson's new breasts look funny? I was looking at things online and I stumbled across this: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.handbag.com/%3Fmodule%3Dimages%26func%3Ddisplay%26fileId%3D47477&imgrefurl=http://www.handbag.com/celebrity/Plastic-Surgery-Celebrities-Pamela-Anderson/gallery&h=594&w=594&sz=129&hl=en&start=6&um=1&usg=__exfHQ8H7xZHG_DO74JK1ThFQFtA=&tbnid=HTmU7JFvMusrUM:&tbnh=135&tbnw=135&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dpamela%2Banderson%2Baging%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN Does anyone else think her breasts look deformed and weird or are guys really into this look? I personally thought she looked a lot better with a C or D....Looks like she is a DDD now and they look droopy! When I looked at other photos too, she just has a really weird look. She looks haggard and overly made up. I haven't seen this new 'Girl on the Loose' show but I hear it's really bad. Have you seen it? What do you think of her looks? Her talent? I personally think she needs to change her look. She's had the same look for 20 years! I also think she may have some real acting talent but she wastes it on doing roles that 20 year olds should be doing. I personally would love to see her tone it down a bit and go for a 'serious' character role! I thought the 'downsize' she did years ago looked a lot better. Why oh WHY Pam did you go getting those huge melons? I think they look freaky and they're very aging, as is her makeup and clothing. This isn't some hate rant BTW, I just feel bad for her and think she'd look way better if she classed herself up a little and went for a more mature look! I used to be a fan of hers actually, until she went crazy with the silicone and PETA rants!
I NEED HELP WITH AN ESSAY please? ok so i have to write an essay on: are todays famous people good role models for young people so this is wat i have can anyone help me edit it and use proper grammer Today’s famous people are not a good role model for young people because there doing inappropriate things like plastic surgery, bad relationship, and are on too many bad diets. Young people should look up to people like Raven Simon, Oprah Winfrey, and Barrack Obama. On of the most terrible thing that celebrities do now days is plastic surgery. People like Ashley Simpson, Mickey Rourke, Michael Jackson, Pamela Anderson, and Jessica Simpson have done much plastic surgery and now they look unappealing. Plastic surgery make people look fake, unnatural and make them lose there respect. Plastic surgery has some side effects like disfigurement, illness, infection, and birth defect. This is why it’s not good to do them. Many famous people are obsessed with plastic surgery so they are considered as a bad role model. Bad relationship is another big thing today. Famous people like to have boy/girl friends but they are not too smart about there decisions. They often make mistake and choose people who are rich and good looking. Most famous people are abusive, sexual, and are not honest. Some example of bad relationship would be Pamela Anderson /Tommy Lee, Charlie Sheen/Denise Richards, and Rihanna /Chris brown. Bad diets are another big thing today with famous people. Diets like Jenny Craig, Herbal Magic system, my fit, and fit for life often has side effect like gaining weight, gas, throwing up, and stomach ache. It is better not to take these diets. To maintain a healthy fit body its better to eat healthy and exercise. Most celebrities often starve them self and end up with a bad illness. Young people should look up to teachers and family members as their role models. So as you can see famous people are not a good role model for young people because they do plastic surgery, have bad relationship, and are on too many bad diets

Who do you think is the ugliest celebrity? For me, it is Tori Spelling. Her face looks like a horse.? And I hear she's had much much plastic surgery. What's even worse about Tori,--her show "Tori and Dean In Love" is awful, and uninteresting.
Does plastic surgery look worse on white people than anyone else? to be honest this could be because there are more white people with plastic (face)surgery, but is it because it looks more obvious on white people , or can it just look as bad for any other race?, or does america have the shittest surgeons in the world?, i hear a lot of south koreans have face surgery but then again i don't exactly see them on western TV every day. http://www.topsocialite.com/the-15-worst-celebrity-plastic-surgery-disasters-you-will-ever-see/ this link is just for fun, micheal jackson was white at the time so...yeah...
Which celebrity has the worst plastic surgery ? I think it has to be Joan Rivers she looks like leather face from texas chainsaw .
Bad Celebrity Makeovers? I just couldn't understand why people made such a big deal about Michael Jackson's two plastic surgeries on his nose, I mean, look at this page and you can't tell me that he is the worst looking person on the page... I personally don't think he looks bad, but look at some others who have had worse... why not make fun of them and leave Michael alone? http://www.awfulplasticsurgery.com/archives/cat_scary_celebrities.html I guess my question is do you think Michael looks worse than some of the others on here.
What is the one thing that you hate about celebrities? 1) bad acting 2) bad songs 3) bad lifestyle 4) doing drugs 5) sex monkey 6) plastic surgery 7) sex tapes and scandals 8) stupidity 9) smart a**es 10) toooo dramatic Pick any number and tell me the celebrity that you've chosened, but ONLY CHOOSE ONE. Star this question, plz. :)
Celebs bad influence on girls? To what extent do representations of female celebrities provide good role-models for children in contemporary society? 1) How do girls look up to or imitate female stars? 2) Will children begin to believe drugs, rehab, eating disorders, plastic surgery are the 'norm'? For example, are females children look up to such as Jamie-Lynn Spears, Lindsey Lohan and Vanessa Hudgens bad influences for girls? Who or good influences, who are bad influences, and why do you think this? Thanksss.
Mother got plastic suregery to look like daughter, what do you think? Here is the article: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1170348/The-50-year-old-mother-spent-10-000-surgery-look-like-daughter.html
who are some celebrities who are bad role models? drugs, annorexia, jail, alcohol abuse, plastic surgery??
To all michael jackson fans & people who think they might know the answer? I would like to ask you about Michael Jackson. Before his death, MJ is more famous because of his bizarre an allegation. I'm not trying to attack him at all, to be honest I even like him. But that is the fact, before his shocking death every time we mention MJ he was connected to allegation, molestation, plastic surgery etc. Very few people remember about his grammy record, album selling, music genius. I was born in 1987. And since I can remember people and media always said he was weird. VERY few of my friend, --and anyone at my age-- even know about his humanity and charity. What I want to ask is there any of you remember since when exactly people thought that MJ is weird? And why? Whats the exact cause that make people call him wacko? Dont say it was the allegation cause i read people call him wacko even before the allegation in 1993. Dont say because of plastic surgery too. In 1980's i dont think his face showed something weird, plastic surgery signs of course but NOT that bad, besides mostly celebrity also did it. A lot of celebrity did much terrible things that he did, instead of called wacko this celebrity become more and more famous. And people still think these celebrity is cool. There are celebrity who beat his girlfriend, the other celebrity keep making a scandal with sex tape, the other one become and alcoholic. But as I can remember none of this celebrity was called Wacko for their bizarre habits. I just cant get it. And since im not living in the US hard to find someone older who know and remember the exact reason. Share what you though with me..Thx a lot. I would like to hear about about your personal opinion. Did you personally think he was as wacko as the media always said about him? Or did you think he was just a victim from the media industry?
Think there is any celebrity out there that hasn't done one of the following? If so, let us know your guess.. Has never: a) had plastic surgery b) cheated on their partner c) gotten arrested for a DUI or worse d) done drugs e) been publicly intoxicated f) not worn underwear to an event with see-through clothing g) gotten fake teeth, or extreme tooth whitening. I know the above are why we love our celebs (just kidding) - we love their craft. But any 'pure' celebrities out there? Oh I should say, hell I've done many things that if I was in the public eye, I could be scrutinized for. :)
Can yo check my grammar? Can yo check my grammar? Beauty is in the eye of beholder is an unknown proverb in contemporary society. It is only a simple sentence that does not make any sense anymore. Some women think social interaction and personal success are dependent on physical attraction. Being perfect is a common issue, but when this issue becomes obsession it can become a more serious mental illness. Plastic surgery is a huge obsession among all people including preteens, teenagers, and adolescents. It is an obsession that is fed by models and celebrities who think nothing of going under the scalpel again and again in an elusive chase after a beauty icon that doesn’t exist. Plastic surgery is not without risk. It is not healthy way to look perfect. Plastic surgery can affect person physical, socially and mentally. Plastic surgery can also have many side effects. It is painful procedure that can even lead to death. A young mother, Dehlmalyz Rios, was 26 years old when she decided to have plastic surgery. Two days after the surgery her body rejected the fat that was deposited in her calves. She died by leaving two children. It can ruin lives as well. Some side effects are permanent such as physical pain. Plastic surgery includes cutting, bending, stretching and other method to manipulate body structure in order to get desired shape. This causes pain, discomfort, and swelling that may remain for a lifetime. Plastic surgery can cause depression brought on by medication used to control the after affects of surgery. Of course there is always the post-surgical risk of pneumonia from having to remain in bed for long periods of time or of forced inactivity. Sometimes there are emotional traumas from the surgery not having the desired affect, or the person’s refusal to accept the modifications. There can also be guilt or bad feelings caused by spouses, relatives, or friends. Cosmetic surgery is depends a great deal on the doctor’s qualifications. There are doctors who offer surgery at very low prices who are not skilled or qualified to perform plastic surgery. Most of these doctors are untrained except for a seminar in hotel for a few hours. Credentials aren’t checked so that people who may not even be doctors are allowed to take the seminar. In Miami, a doctor named Reinaldo Slivestre, practiced surgery in a small office. He had very little medical training. One of his patients, named Alexandra Baez, claimed that he gave him breast implants instead of the pectoral muscle implant that he had requested. Many doctors who are performing plastic surgery are not licensed by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons. They are quacks; get rich quick surgeons, performing as many surgeries as they can under less than sterile conditions. Cosmetic surgery is not for everyone. This doesn’t prevent people from seeking it. Plastic surgery costs thousands of dollars and usually requires a lot of recovery time. Some people sacrifice their basic needs to save enough money for plastic surgery. There are those who say that plastic surgery should not be used to just change someone’s appearance for the sake of vanity. Sometimes plastic surgery taken to the extreme can make someone look less than human, as is the case with Michael Jackson. People make fun of him, but he is wealthy enough that it doesn’t affect his life. But what about the person who was not wealthy or a celebrity and the surgery go wrong? The surgeon may say they are sorry, but they can just walk away. The patient has to live with the awful results. But whether the surgical effects are deemed a success or failure, both the surgeon and the patient are responsible for one requested

can you edit this essay if you are better in english? "Beauty is in the eye of beholder," is an unknown proverb in contemporary society. It is a simple sentence that does not make sense anymore. Some women, and now many more men, think social interaction and personal success are dependent on physical attraction, and unfortunately, in this society, they are frequently right. Being perfect is a common issue, but when this issue becomes an obsession it can grow into a far more serious mental illness. Plastic surgery is a huge obsession among all people including preteens, teenagers, and adolescents. It is an obsession that is fed by models and celebrities who think nothing of going under the scalpel again and again in an elusive chase after a beauty icon that does not exist. Plastic surgery is not without risk. It is not a healthy way to look perfect. Plastic surgery can affect a person physically, socially and mentally, and it can have many side effects. It is a painful procedure that can even lead to death. There is a five percent death risk for all people who undergo anesthesia, especially general anesthesia, which is used in many cosmetic surgeries (Younai). A young mother, Dehlmalyz Rios, was 26 years old when she decided to have plastic surgery. Two days after the surgery her body rejected the fat that was deposited in her calves. She died, leaving two children behind. Clearly it can ruin the lives of more than just its proponents (Peru 2). Plastic surgery includes cutting, bending, stretching and other methods to manipulate body structure in order to get a desired shape. This causes pain, discomfort, and swelling that may remain for a lifetime. Some side effects, such as physical pain, are permanent. Plastic surgery can cause depression brought on by medication used to control the aftereffects of surgery. Poor and sometimes grotesque results may also bring on depression and other emotional problems. Of course there is always the post-surgical risk of pneumonia from having to remain in bed for long periods of time or as a result of forced inactivity, and there are the risks of infection and human error. Sometimes there are emotional traumas from the surgery not having the desired effect, or the person’s inability to accept, or disappointment with, the modifications. There can also be guilt or bad feelings caused by spouses, relatives, colleague or friends. Cosmetic surgery depends a great deal on the doctor’s qualifications. There are doctors who offer surgery at very low prices who are not skilled or qualified to perform plastic surgery. This doesn’t prevent people from seeking it. Plastic surgery costs thousands of dollars and usually requires a good deal of recovery time. Some people sacrifice their basic needs to save enough money to pay for the surgery. There are those who say that plastic surgery should not be used to change someone’s appearance for the sake of vanity. Sometimes plastic surgery taken to the extreme can make someone look less than human, as is the case with Michael Jackson. People make fun of him, but he is wealthy enough that it doesn’t seem to affect his life. But what about the person who is not wealthy or what if a celebrity and the surgeon go wrong in making decisions? The surgeon may say he or she is sorry, but the surgeon can just walk away. The patient has to live with the awful results. But whether the surgical effects are deemed a success or failure, both the surgeon and the patient are responsible the surgery and the other performed it. With everything there is good and bad. Plastic surgery is no exception. Cosmetic surgery can make someone feel better about their looks, which may lead to an improved life. And certainly cosmetic surgery to repair birth defects, burns, and scars is a boon. But people need to realize that looking like a Hollywood star isn’t necessarily going to change your life or make you happier. They need to understand that things can and do go wrong with plastic surgery and the decision to have plastic surgery shouldn’t be taken lightly. Because when you get right down to it, beauty IS in the eye of the beholder. Plastic surgery is a risk that is undertaken with both sorrow and pleasure. Before making a decision, a person must consider risks such as unexpected costs, untrained surgeons, and physical pain during and after surgery. People should not be taken in by how inexpensive a surgery is; rather, they should be concerned about the most important thing of all: life. Plastic surgery is preferable for people who don't have other options, but it is not the best way to look like those Hollywood models and celebrities.

Most of these doctors are untrained except for a seminar in a hotel for a few hours. Credentials aren’t checked so that people who may not even be doctors are allowed to take these seminars. In Miami, a doctor named Reinaldo Silvestre, practiced surgery in a small office. He had very little medical training. One of his patients, named Alexandra Baez, claimed that he gave him breast implants instead of the pectoral muscle implant that he had requested (CNN). Many doctors who are performing plastic surgery are not licensed by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons. They are quacks, get-rich-quick surgeons, who perform as many surgeries as they can and often under less than sterile conditions (Odenthal). Cosmetic surgery is not for everyone. This doesn’t prevent people from seeking it. “Not guilty plea in fake plastic surgeon case.” November 19, 2004 http://www.cnn.com/2004/LAW/11/19/cosmetic.surgeries/ Karl Ross. “Search for Beauty Ends in Death.” 1998: 2 http://www.locateadoc.com/articles.cfm/1406/1412 http://www.cnn.com/2004/LAW/11/19/cosmetic.surgeries/ http://www.surgery.org/press/news-release.php?iid=363&section=news-safety
Would you ever change your natural appearance? Through plastic surgery. I felt so good because today I saw how Korean and Japanese celebrities looked before they had plastic surgery. Totally different..., you can't even tell it was them back then. I feel good about my natural features since celebrities are fake and look worse than us average people when you compare their natural looks to ours'. Also a lot of them surgery to obtain my eye shape and nose structure. I use to think my features were bad when I looked at celebrities years ago but whose laughing now! Would you ever change your natural look? Yes I think exercise is a good way along with hygienes.
Why do people judge celebrities? Why do people judge celebrities even though they have never met them. Like my friend hates megan fox because she says how she's so fake cause of the plastic surgery and conceited and stuff. But come on she never did anything bad and if she got plastic surgery that would mean she's insecure. But that's just me bitching what i want to know is why do people judge others when they have never met them no i do judge celebrities but im not a dick about it like when britney did all the stuff that got the medias attention i was oh what a dumb bitch she should probably go to counseling but i wasn't constantly talking about it and i didn't really criticize her not all celebrities have "perfect" life's or "perfect" bodies. like megan fox she seems like she makes all those stories up so she can feed the media crap and still have a somewhat private life, she also seems insecure and some people just get completely grossed out by her thumbs, which shouldn't matter.

A few questions about Heaven. Could you take a look please? *****ANSWER ONLY THE ONES YOU FEEL LIKE***** And if you are uncertain, feel free to start with "I think" and speculate. 1) Doesn't the concept of eternity REALLY bug you? I mean that is a really really LONG time. No leaving if you get sick of it... 2) Do you keep your memories and personality when you go there? If yes, then how could every one possibly get along there? Could it still be heaven if you have to share it with people you don't like? If no, what is the difference of going or not going then? Wouldn't you not want to loose that part of you? 3) Do you still have free will? If yes, then would you be able to rebel as Satan did? What would stop you from bringing harm to others, intentionally or unintentionally? 4) Is there sex in Heaven? Especially among married couples. Does it allow you to procreate? How would it work for widows that remarried? 5) Do you look the same? Cause I think that would be a VERY rotten thing for everyone who was born ugly. And if so, what would be the deal with plastic surgery? 6) Do amputees reunite with their lost limbs? 7) Are there pets? 8) What about Food? 9) If you are a pacifist, will God understand and not expect you to fight for Heaven? 10) If everyone has the answers to everything and there is no conflicts, wouldn't that be a rather boring and pointless existence? 11) Are the mentally retarded, still retarded? If no, wouldn't that take away from their identity? 12) What about people with brain damage? 13) How will you ever get the time to talk to Jesus/God/The Holy Ghost, if they are always running the place, passing judgment and what not? 14) Will Jesus/God/The Holy Ghost be like celebrities and never be able to talk to all their fans? 15) Will celebrities still be celebrities? 16) Is there work in Heaven? I think this one would be difficult because some people LOVE their work. 17) Will your relatives be aware of every stupid/embarrassing thing you ever did (you know, even that **REALLY** stupid/embarrassing thing)? 18) Will there be art? 19) Sports? 20) Science? (meaning things for us to discover or create) You know, some of us rather like science. 21) Will we be able to observe the living? To what extent? Will we be able to read their thoughts? 22) Will we share it with Aliens? 23) Will God not share some information with us, or will we be granted insight to all knowledge? 24) Will our capacities change? 25) Will we miss loved ones that are not present? if so, how is it heaven? 26) Can we relive moments in our lives? 27) Will there be drugs? 28) Will we be allowed to listen to some of our favorite music, even if it is exactly Christian? I'm not going if I can't listen to Propagandhi or Bad Religion... 29) Can we choose not to go? If we choose so, does that only leave hell and limbo or are we free to wonder? 30) How many time would you be able to hear "I told you so" being uttered in conversation will you be able to handle before you loose it? 31) Will Heaven cease to grow when the world ends? 32) Where do people go in Heaven or Hell if they die? If they can't why would heaven and hell ever bother fighting? 33) Will you pee your pants if you see 31 virgins waiting at the gates for every suicide bomber? 34) What is the weather like there? 35) Will there be Y!A?
Why is it SUCH a BIG deal if you have black hair and colored eyes? Ok, I have naturally jet black hair and ... like a golden tan skin color. I wear custom contacts, they look 100% natural and gorgeous, EXACTLY like a real human eye color, it's what the entertainment industry uses, and they're about $10,000 a pair. Anyways, my custom contacts are ice blue. And I wear them every single day, 365 days a year, 24/7. And guys always seem to compliment my eyes, and say "Wow, your eyes are so pretty" and it makes me feel bad because what would they say if I told them they're contacts? Or what would they say if I took them off? They're probably going to think of me as less pretty and go on to some girl that does have colored eyes. (Although, I would NEVER show a guy I'm less confident, or he's better than I am. NEVER) I want to know why is it such a big deal? I won't stop wearing them, because I LOVE them, they make my eyes look gorgeous, and they make me feel sooo confident. Just like girls wear makeup and color their hair and go tanning and get plastic surgery, etc. The only thing I wear is eye liner and my contacts and lip gloss and that is all. So, yes, I am a natural girl. (Nobody can be COMPLETELY natural. We all have to clean ourseleves, do our hair, etc.) Anyway, my question is why do guys make it a big deal? I'm afraid because, how am I supposed to have a guy like me if he's going to think of me as less pretty because I tell him I'm wearing contacts? ... Wouldn't he just go find another girl with colored eyes? ..How am I supposed to get married? All I do with myself is just wear natural ice blue contacts, lip gloss and eye liner. It's not that much. What the hell, all girls tan, wear makeup, style their hair, fake books, and the celebrities do much much more. Please help me! ....Guys honestly, what do you think? Thank you Nooo. I swear to you I'm not bragging. I swear. I just needed your advice. I'm not lying. Gellex - I really liked your answer but, what do you mean you have to agree with the other answers a bit too? Which part? And also, the contacts are about $3,000 but I buy about 3 pairs at one time, so I just said 10,000. Sorry I wasn't paying attention when I typed this

WHO WANTS TO KNOW THE TRUTH ? ABOUT RICHARD GERE & THE GERBEL OR HAMSTER YAMSTER GERBIL or whatever its calle I don't mean to sound cranky, but it's a fact that every time I meet someone and tell them I debunk urban legends, the first question that pops out of their mouth is: "What about that thing with Richard Gere and the gerbil? Is that true?" You learn a lot about human nature in this racket — or should I say, a lot of your worst suspicions about human nature are confirmed, time and time again. Like, people everywhere are suckers for gossip about sex. Weird sex. The-weirder-the-better sex. We're obsessed with it, in fact, and that obsession can short-circuit our capacity for rational thought and render us gullible. Gerbilling: a definition How many here already know what "gerbilling" is? Raise your hands. Now, how many of you actually believe that anyone really does this sort of thing on a regular basis? Raise your hands. I see. Shame on you. For those of you still sitting on your hands, here's a definition: gerbilling (sometimes known as gerbil stuffing) is the practice, always attributed to gay men, of inserting a live rodent into one's rectum, or that of a partner, for erotic pleasure. And what are the facts about gerbilling? In reality, it's not a "practice" of any group of people, gay or otherwise. And while the activity, dangerous as it is (gerbils have sharp claws!), has surely been tried by someone, somewhere, sometime — maybe even more than once — it is not, if I may repeat myself, a common erotic pastime in any known culture or subculture, gay or otherwise. The burden of proof is on those who claim otherwise. Richard Gere and the gerbil The rumor that started all this fuss goes something like this: Several years ago, "they" say, Richard Gere was admitted into the emergency room of a Los Angeles hospital with foreign object lodged in his rectum. Some say Gere was alone when he arrived, others say he was accompanied by a friend (e.g., former love interest Cindy Crawford). In any case, an x-ray was taken and it was determined that the foreign object was a gerbil (either alive or dead, depending on who tells the story). Mr. Gere was rushed to surgery, where it took an entire team of doctors to extract the animal from his behind. Some variants say the gerbil was found to have been shaven and declawed; others claim the animal had been placed in a special plastic pouch. Still others insist the poor creature was Gere's own beloved pet (appropriately named "Tibet" in this variant). In any event, when the gerbilectomy was done the medical team was sworn to secrecy — unsuccessfully, we must conclude — and Gere went on his merry way, suffering no permanent harm other than to his reputation. "Is it true?" you ask. No. Not a shred of evidence has ever been unearthed to prove it. And while Gere himself has never confirmed nor denied it — nor, indeed, spoken of it directly at all — neither has any credible witness come forward in the twenty-odd years this story has been in circulation offering firsthand testimony to back it up. Because it didn't happen. It's folklore. After the rumor first surfaced, National Enquirer reporter Mike Walker spent months trying in vain to verify it. "I've never worked harder on a story in my life," he told the Palm Beach Post in 1995. Walker came away convinced he was chasing an urban legend. It should come as no surprise, then, Richard Gere wasn't the only — nor, indeed, even the first — U.S. celebrity defamed with such allegations. During the early 1980s, the same rumors circulated about a Philadelphia TV news anchorman named Jerry Penacoli, as well as a linebacker for the Cleveland Browns and various other local luminaries in big cities across America. It was Gere's misfortune to be the most famous among them. Unknown origin How, why, and where did this urban legend attach itself to Richard Gere? No one knows the specifics. Some commentators point out that shortly after Gere achieved national attention for his appearance in the film Pretty Woman, an anonymous hoaxer forged a fax alert purporting to originate from the ASPCA deriding the actor for what it called "gerbil abuse." The accusation was circulated from one end of Hollywood to the other, and beyond. But whether this was the legend's actual point of origin is uncertain. Why would someone invent such a story? For the same reasons any vicious rumor about a celebrity gets started. Movie stars are wealthy, powerful people, always in the public eye and always, therefore, the subject of envy. They're walking targets for defamation. There exist in this world people who seek to bolster their own self esteem by sullying other people's reputations — by trying, in essence, to steal a bit of that celebrity's fame and glory for themselves. It has been so since time immemorial. Every earmark of an urban legend The Gere story bears every earmark of an urban legend. While the basic narrative has stayed consistent through the years, smaller details have varied and mutated, exactly as one would expect in a retold a thousand times over. It found its way into the mainstream of popular culture through the usual means, a long chain of person-to-person communications by word of mouth, fax, and email. And, like all classic urban, the tale conveys an implicit moral message, articulated half-facetiously by Cecil Adams as: "Stick to mammals your own size." Lastly and most poignantly, the claim that the Gere story is authentic always rests on the alleged personal experience of someone who "was there when it happened," but who is always at least two or three acquaintances removed from the person actually telling the story: "a friend of a friend." Here are some verbatim examples culled from Internet discussions: A friend of mine's aunt is a nurse at the Los Angeles hospital where Gere was brought into, and confirmed that he was brought in after "playing" with a gerbil. Several nurses on staff went to get his autograph, and were shocked when they discovered his condition. Over the Christmas holidays I was talking to my sister about Urban Legends and the Richard Gere gerbeling incident came up. Her friend swears she was there at Cedar Cyni (someone help me with the spelling) in Los Angeles when it happened. Most everyone I've questioned who reported having heard the story offers some variation of the same claim: "I know someone who knows someone who was in that hospital when it happened." Based on how often that claim has been made, there must have been a hundred thousand personnel on duty at Cedars Sinai Hospital that night. But enough of this baloney. If you haven't had your fill of rodents, rectums and Richard Gere, do visit the gerbilling department of the AFU & Urban Legends Archive, where a crack team of urban legend experts labors ceaselessly to dislodge the truth for you. And if you care to bone up on the sorts of things all kinds of folks really do put in their hineys for fun, go (if you dare) to the Rectal Foreign Bodies home page and have a look around. It's an eye-opener. http://urbanlegends.about.com/od/celebrities/a/richard_gere.htm
I used to be a fan of hers actually, until she went crazy with the silicone and PETA rants! http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.makemeheal.com/news/images/pamela-anderson-breast-implants.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.makemeheal.com/news/pamela-anderson-sparks-mega-breast-implant-craze-in-australia/103&h=200&w=157&sz=11&hl=en&start=2&um=1&usg=__BOfBWxa-s9B3HMXY4UqCRrpdKdg=&tbnid=o95MBYyuXHU-AM:&tbnh=104&tbnw=82&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dpamela%2Banderson%2Bbreasts%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26rls%3Dcom.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox%26rlz%3D1I7ADBR%26sa%3DN Here is a REALLY scary picture....damn...Am I crazy or does she not look very good for 41? I've seen women her age with no surgery who look better. The body is great for having kids just the BOOBS and the FACE!
Celebrities & Plastic Surgery.? What do you think about all these celebrities getting plastic surgery? Do you think they look better or worse? I saw newly released images of Heidi Montag from the Hills after her boob & nose jobs. I think her nose looks better, but her boobs look so awkward on her little body!
Who are some pretty female celebrities that you think will age badly? Forget about them being able to afford plastic surgery, but here's some female celebrities who are pretty now but who I think will age badly, I can just tell by looking at them: Angelina Jolie (I can already see it, skinny, kind of hunched over at 60 from bad posture, wrinkly skin from always being in hot countries, ew) Julia Roberts (she's already starting to show) Cate Blanchett (she's not even pretty now) Katie Holmes ( b/c the only thing really appealing about her is youthful look, imagine when that goes away) Jennifer Love Hewitt (for only 27, she's aging pretty fast, I notice she has some wrinkles and like Holmes, her main appeal is (was?) her youthful look, good thing she got a boob reduction, bc those things esp. since she's small otherwise would be sagging when she's old and making her hunched over) Britney Spears (obviously, she's already on her major decline)
