Plastic Surgerion Knowledge Base
plastic surgery question.? im not sure if im allowed to ask this here, but please answer my question.... so my mother had a cancer, and had to do something like plastic surgery after her treatment, so we had this plastic surgerion, which i don't think i can name the person, but it was from chatal plastic surgery from seattle. so before we had appointment, the surgerion asked couple of times if we can bring a fluent speaking english person instead of translator, for the surgery.( because my parents can't speak english, and they think im young to translate the stuff to my parents) and my father said no, and insisted that he wished for a korean speaking translator because this translator helped alot for us while treating my mother when she was sick. after that meeting, the surgeron promised that she will call for us when they are ready for the surgery, and so two weeks have passed, yet still she didn't called us, so we called the plastic surgery place, and the answer that the surgeon gave was " i don't feel like performing the surgery on this patient". i personally feel enraged at this surgeon, because she didn't inform us that she didn't plan on performing the surgery, and that she didn't want to perform the surgery because we brought the translator in.(and also she didn't really give any explaination on why she didn't feel like performing the surgery.) isn't this illegal to reject a patient just because we brought a translator for my parents to understand what was going on? i mean if we brought a translator that is not related to medical purposes, the person wouldn't really understand what to do except to translate back in our language, and do nothing, while the translator we brought could know what to do with her past experiance.... im very sorry for my terrible english, and i can't explain things well, but isn't it illegal to reject a patient just because she doesn't feel like she wants to perform surgery on people who she doesn't like...? then why does this person wants to have a fluently speaking english person to come with my parents instead of translator? i mean isn't that the same thing? she just wants a translator that isn't involved with medical association, but she just wants a normal translator who doesn't know anything related to medical. >:l
