what can go wrong with upper eyelid plastic surgery?
Public Comments
- well you could die a horrable horrable death...Good Luck!
- There's many things that can go wrong but one thing I know of is that it can leave your eyes looking assymetrical (one unnaturally bigger than the other) or one of the eyelids can start to sag over your eye so it will look like one of your eyes is doped and the other one is sober...
- If a nerve is affected, paralysis in the area could occur. You could not be able to open or close your eye at will, or not be able to open or close it at all. If you aren't able to close your eye, you could still sleep (although that would be difficult), but you would have pretty much constant dry eyes. On the upside, you'd have a few less wrinkles, until old age catches up with you, and you get wrinkles anyway. Have fun with that.
- Retrobulbar hematoma - (bleeding behind the eye) - rare, but can cause loss of vision Temporary problems with excessive tearing Decreased sensation in the eyelid Dryness, burning, stinging, gritty sensation in your eye(s) Prominence or firmness of the scars Asymmetry in healing or scarring Milia or whiteheads where the sutures emanate from the skin. Difficulty closing their eyes completely; in rare cases, this condition may be permanent. Further surgery may correct this problem.
