Should I get plastic surgery?
My medications are causing facial lipoatrophy which makes my face look sunken and makes me look sick. Looking like I do, I can't get good pick ups at bars, clubs, social functions, etc. I feel as if people are genuinely afraid of me. I was thinking about getting some fat moved to my cheeks to plump them out so I wouldn't appear so ill to other guys. Is there any additional difficulties with getting plastic surgery having a repressed immune system, and is this a good idea to go under the knife? And is it wrong to this procedure done just to have more sex? Being alone sucks.

- Have you first considered joing a group where people might accept you m ore?
- I always say nothing wrong with enhancing your looks. Always tell people your status before getting any pickups.
- if you can afford it--go for it
- I say talk to your doctor and discuss th eeffects of the medications first. It may be possible the doctor can prescribe alternates that do not have such undesirable side effects. But even if the doctor cannot, possible there are ways to overcome the side effects with diet, exercise, etc that the doctor can recommend. I'm not saying you shoudo avoid the plastic surgery; merely that you need to explore the options first. And you might also want to get the doctor to enlighten you on what negative effects the meds might have on the results of the plastic surgery; it is possible there may be no real gain.
- Do what you want to. It's your choice. Remember you have to be confident no matter what.
