Is haveing cosmetic surgery a disbelife of God, i don't want to upset him?
I know people are going to say things like i should have surgery and stuff but that is not what im asking. I have really huge ears and they also stick out, is it ok to have cosmetic surgery on them or is that bad, if you belive in God. I don't want to do something that God would hate

- You don't want to upset him? HA HA HA HA HA HA Its OK if he slaps a bit of ugly on you...probably tormenting you for a good portion of your life but you don/t want to upset the most powerful entity in existence........HA HA HA HA Oh yeah...I can just see God crawling off into a corner and bawling his eyes out after you upset him.......HA HA HA
- God loves us all. I do not think God thinks we need to have it and if its for vanity it is certainly wrong. but I am sure God accepts there are cases where it is necessary. it is your choice and God will forgive you even if he did not approve if you seek his forgiveness.
- God allowed the plastic surgeons to devise a way to improve youe ears,so cool it ! If He allowed the loss of 27 million souls in Soviet Russia without stiking down Stalin, don't fret over your ears! You may have an inflated opinion of yourself-God may have larger concerns about somebody on one of His billions of planets in His billions of galacies.
- It is up to you to do as your heart tells you. Brace yourself because you are about be inundated with a whole lot of comments about loving yourself as God made you, the sin of vanity and the fact you will burn in hell becuase you are tampering with God's creation. It's people who like to hate and will use God as a weapon to make you conform to their way of thinking.
- If you lived in a different country, or around lots of other people with big ears, you wouldn't feel there was anything wrong with your ears. The only reason you think your ears are somehow wrong is because you've compared yourself to others' ears, and decided that theirs are good and yours aren't. I don't think it's "wrong" for you to do something about your ears, but I hate the fact that you would resort to actually having your body cut and mutilated, and even risking your life (surgery carries substantial risks!) - it's sort of self-destructive - because of the pain you have over what your ears look like, which is more something you've decided about your appearance than something which is actually "wrong" with your ear. You are in psychological pain over your own body - and I wish you were not hurting so badly about an idea of what "ear beauty" is or isn't that you would actually want to harm your own ears to achieve it. There is also a psychological thing called "Body dysmorphic disorder" which you can get therapy for - it's when some aspect of your body always seems wrong to you - and you become obsessed over it. Did a guy dump you and blame it on your ears? I had a guy tell me that I needed to get all the moles on my face removed in order for him to be interested in me... and lots of people agreed... but I'm not going to harm my own body just because someone else doesn't like it! I choose to see myself as beautiful - and many others do too. In the end, you loose nothing by taking your time on this and waiting until you deepen your relationship with God, and pray and really get an answer from God on this. I bet there is a lot He'd like to show you first before He even shows you "yes or no" about having this surgery. Find some people who seem to have a deep relationship with God in real life that you can befriend and learn from, read your Bible, and learn how to listen to God with those "big ears!" :) God is much more concerned about you learning how to know what He likes or doesn't like, than whether or not you have this surgery or not.
