Do you think cosmetic surgery is a good thing?

I'm so confused as to why people even consider it. Would you ever have cosmetic surgery if so why? Doesn't it always turn out bad..?

1. Uh ya...like if i was in a accident and broke my face all up...or got burned...or knocked my teeth out....but no ...not just because i dont like something...
2. I don't know what's so confusing about it. People consider it because they're unhappy with the way they look and would like their appearance altered. When I was younger the only cosmetic surgery I considered having were my ears pinned back because they stick out a lot. Now that I'm older though they don't really bother me as much. Not all cosmetic surgeries turn out bad or obvious if the person isn't getting something drastic or unrealistic. If it's a subtle change, then it shouldn't look bad.
3. I think they should accept their bodies the way where made. But at the end of the day, it's always going to be their choice.

No, it does not always turn out bad. and some people get it to feel good about themselves... u can say natural this... natural that... but some people are just butt ugly and see a way to fix it. others are happy not having to be "pretty" and thats respectable too, but theres no need to rag on people for doing something that makes them feel better about themselves, whether it be a boob job, tummy tuck, face lift etc. age/weight/attractiveness all reasons why people opt for this, and yes, how people look is one of the MOST defining characteristic to finding a suitable mate, no matter if ur human or not. theres no harm in trying to up the ante in your favor. still, its not for everyone. and currently, i see no reason for myself to get plastic surgury, i could spend less on a personal trainer and get better results if i act b4 its too late =)
5. I think cosmetic surgery is not a good thing because i think it's bad for everyone to do it.
6. People consider it because its a way to look better which wouldnt be possible other ways. Who wouldnt want to look prettier? No it doesnt always turn out bad, if it did then there wouldnt be so many people running around with round boobs, perfect noses, and no wrinkles. I've had it done because I always think something could be better no matter what it is, not just with my body, and do what I can to get as close to perfect as possible. Everything I've had done has turned out great and really improved my appearence. Its not that I want to change who I am, I thought I was attractive before any procedures, I just want to enhance what I have.
