Osteochondritis Dissecans Surgery cost/recovery time for dogs.?

Has anyone's dog had to have this surgery? Im curious of the cost and recovery time. My dog hasn't been diagnosed by the Ortho-vet (the appt is tues), but our regular vet seems to think that is the problem. I know everywhere is different with prices and such, but if anyone could give me a ballpark figure? Recovery time?

1. I have never had a dog with that surgery, but surgery from any specialist is always pricey. When you have your meeting, Im sure they will give you an esitmate. I would expect at least $1000. Knee surgeries at a regular vet will run about $400-$600. Recovery time depends on the size of your dog, which joint is affected, how bad the condition is, etc. But you will need to give it strict bed rest for a little while, almost no weight bearing. But once again, they will tell you all of this at your appointment.
