  1. in the Philippines? it might possibly cost you your hand. lol, j/k. i have no idea sorry.
  2. http://hand.com.sg/ just try that!! Im living in Cagayan de Oro City that's why i have no idea about it , because i've never been in Davao!!
  3. It would be much cheaper than in the USA. I can't answer your question specifically, but I can give you some examples of medical costs of which I am aware, due to personal experience or the experience of others: Emergency room visit - 150 pesos = $3.75 Blood test - 120-200 pesos = $3.00-$5.00 Hotel room visit by physician = $20.00 (He stayed about 1/2 hour, and spent time to ask a lot of questions) Office visit to a specialist - 200 to 1000 pesos = $5.00 to $20.00 Natural childbirth, including one night's hospital stay - 6,000 pesos = $150 I have seen bills for patients in private hospitals for one week or two weeks that range from 10,000 pesos to 20,000 pesos or $250 to $500. Prescriptions run from 15 cents to 75 cents per pill for most. I have never paid more than $20 for a prescription. These prices are all without insurance coverage. Dental care is also very inexpensive, with the cost of a filling running from 100 pesos to 500 pesos ($2.50 to $12.50), depending on if you go to a local dentist or a specialist. I had extensive prophylaxis 1-1/2 years ago (3+ hours in the chair) for $120 from a specialist, including all x-rays. I also had a splint installed covering four lower teeth (basically plastic braces on the back of the teeth), which cost about $120 also. My girlfriend spent eight months in the hospital following a trike accident in 1999 in which she suffered major head injuries. She had one surgery during that time, as well as continuing medical treatment as an in-patient for the duration. She almost died. Total hospital bill = $5,000 not including medications, which I am sure was less than $250 during that time. A friend of mine had to have an angioplasty two years ago. He went to a private foreign-operated hospital with a specialist. It cost him $20,000 start-to-finish. I would imagine that your hand surgery could cost from $1,000 to $2,500, but that is just a guess, and very well could be on the very high side. The prices I am giving are for Central Luzon. Davao is in Mindinao, and prices could be substantially lower there. Airfare on Philippine Airlines (PAL) will run from $850-1,250 in Economy or about $2,430 in Business Class. If you can afford it, I highly recommend Business Class. The extra cost of traveling in First Class is not worth the extra $1,000 or so. People can say what they want about medical care in third world countries, and in many cases, their opinions are justified. However, I beg to differ with regard to the Philippines. If you visit almost any hospital in the world, you will find that a large proportion of their nurses are Filipino. They received their education here, and are in high demand around the world. While hospitals may not seem to have the same comfort standards as you might expect in the USA, the quality of care is definitely there, if not greater. Let me know if you have more questions. Good luck, and I hope you get the help you need.
  4. Do you have personal or govt. insurance? If you have philhealth it will probably will save you a lot. Do you need stitches? Well if 7 fingers are broken and totally cut-off that needs re-attachement surgery, idk if its true that each fingers corresponds to a peso amount like P10k to attached your index finger, P8k for your pinky, another k for your thumb (im not sure with the actual amount) depending on your hospital, i guess. When I loose my ring finger when i was a child, i didnt cared to ask. just want it back whatever the cost. If you cant afford it the local public hospital can help you out and sometimes PCSO too can sponsor/ shoulder the amount if you met a certain requirements for donation.
  5. If you are in Davao, maybe you'd like to call these hospitals and inquire about it. Get well.
  6. The best answer should come from a Davao Doctors Hospital nurse. But, let's make some estimates only. For an air con room in Cebu Chong HUa Hospital: Private air con room 1,500X 7 days = P10,500.00 consultants fee 2,500.00 medical visits 7*1000 7,000.00 operating room 3,000.00 medication, antibiotics 150*21= 3,150. anesthescia 3,000 bandages and other medications, 3,000 Total P32,150 Since, I didn't inquire the nurses now, my estimate is hospital charges could go up to P50,000.00 for a hospitalization of 7 days.
