Where in the US and in other countries is the cheapest for liposuction that is still safe and of good quality?

- you're first concern should be the qualification and experience of the practitioner, not the cost. some facilities give discounts at certain times of the year, but don't let the price be what pulls you in. look for certifications and degrees. remember: there is no special qualification for a cosmetic surgeon- so make sure the person you see is not shady or inexperienced!!! talk to their other patients and shop around!
- cheap in medicine is not good, u can end up with a fraud whos not even a doctor! we're talkin serious medical complications here! if u wanna save, dont do it! diet & exercise or wear some hold-in panties.. but dont bargain on ur health.
- Funny you ask. I just had mine done on Tuesday. I am 5ft 2in and 116 lbs. Lipo is NOT meant for large scale fat removal, it's meant for stubborn fat deposits and contouring. I worked out 5 days a week, never consumed more than 18 gms of fat a day, ate high protein, but those spots just would NOT go away, so I also want to comment on the gentleman that posted beneath me... YOU SIR are an IDIOT. You are not what you eat! There are so many medical factors involved determining weight (Everything from Bone Structure to Genetics, Thyroid Problems and a plethora of other inicdents. I eat super healthy now, but I used to eat pure Sh!t as does my mother and it never effected my weight, nor has it ever affected my 100 lb Mother (58 yrs old) I just changed my diet for cholesterol reasons. Anyhow.... I paid 3500.00 for my tummy & flanks in South Florida which included rides to and from the surgical center, consultation, Operating Room, Anastesiologist, Compression Garment (that MUST be warn 2-6 weeks afterwards) and all follow ups. My Doctor also will go in for revisions at NO additional cost if you have any spots that did not settle properly. It has officially been 48 hours since my surgery and I feel great (I am on pain killers though). THINGS TO TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION: 1. Many clinics will put you on a payment plan. 2. If your skin is not in good shape and elastic, you can and will run into a problem with saggy skin. The % of this happening goes up with age. I am a 35 yr old female and although the rest of my body is TINY, my tummy protruded BADLY and still I was a good candidate to have the skin retract. (I cheated and peaked this afternoon and I can already see the difference and I have minimal bruising.) 3. If you've had several children, you may also need a tummy tuck which can be very expensive. "Mini LipoPLASTY" (tuck) is cheaper if there is a minimal amount of "extra" skin. 4. Again, Lipo is not for "weight loss", if you seek it for that reason, you will not like the results. For example. I went in to my surgery weighing 116 lbs, came out 119 (temporary from swelling and the 500 cc's of saline they pumped into me) HOWEVER.... My waist is already 4 inches smaller. ALWAYS GO BY INCHES, NOT A SCALE. 5. Sleeping is a bit difficult because you are basically stuck on your back for a week which causes other sore muscles, but (atleast MY Doctor) kept me pretty snowed on medication since my Lipo. 6. I personally wouldn't listen to med school about the "hold-in" panties. LOL I studied medicine as well, but on to my point..... I looked fine in clothing using "hold-in" panties, but when I wanted to go to the beach or be intimate it became a huge problem for me. Hold in Panties is like putting socks in your bra. I'm sure a guy would be shocked if he had to pull a wad of socks out of your bra? lol Now I CAN FEEL COMFORTABLE IN MY OWN SKIN. 7. Chose a Doctor that someone refers you to or go to several before you decide on one. Just because someone has a big fancy ass office doesn't mean they are any more talented. My Doctor has a modest suite in an older building, yet he has more certifications and actually teaches Lipo to other Doctors. So my point is: Don't look for "flash" look for a Doctor that LISTENS to EVERYTHING you have to say even if it takes an hour. Mine listened to me for 1 1/2 hours. (That closed the deal for me). My old ENT Doc had all the "bling bling" and the moron damaged 3 nerves leading to my spine damaging my back during a routine procedure and left my messed up for life, so please, NEVER judge the book by the cover, or the doctor by his "shiny new office". My cosmetic surgeon was an ENT (ear/nose/throat doc) and started doing cosmetic procedures 20 years ago. He also (and don't freak out) is a clarvoyant and likes to "read people" at the consult. He told me so much crap about myself that he would have no way of knowing-it was truly creepy, but cool. He also has morals, he turns down 10-15% of people if he doesn't feel they are good candidates based on their health, emotional state, reasons behind wanting the surgery, etc. YOU MAY CONTACT ME IF YOU WOULD LIKE HIS INFORMATION.
- Cheep; are you totally nuts. The financial aspect should be about the last part the procedure to look at. Saw a show not too long ago where the doc screwed up. Yeah he sucked out the fat, but the person was left so disfigured she could of been a natural in a bad horror movie. Guess you should of thought of all this before spending so much money on food. Yeah I've little respect for most fat people. Just let my guard down and start consuming all that yummy junk and I'll be right there in blubber land with ya. You are what you eat.
- Liposuction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America. Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star. http://www.forerunnershealthcare.com Hope this helps.
