Is liposuction dangerous like does it have side effects or something?

My sister wants to try liposuction but is not so sure of whether its dangerous or if there are side effects.

1. there is one side efect...you end up having some guy stick a hugh needle repeditivly into your side until you weigh less...it will probubly hurt for a while.
