Do medical schools offer discount plastic surgeries that are part of the interns trainin?
If so, would anyone here recommend that route?

- Probably not. The surgery would actually be done by a plastic surgeon who is self employed and probably not employed by the school. I would not recommend have a new doctor do plastic surgery on you also. You may not like the results. For me, I'd much rather go to an experienced surgeon. Best of luck to you.
- Plastic surgery is a subspecialty, so the plastics fellow is already a trained surgeon, and is at least supervised by a plastic surgeon on the faculty. Don't expect a $5 face lift.
- You can definitely have plastic surgery at a training hospital or with a resident/fellow of plastic surgery...but I wouldn't expect any price difference If you have an appendectomy and a medical resident performs most of the surgery you don't get a discount.
