why swedish people travel to other countries to do plastic surgeries?

  1. probably because it's cheaper
  2. Sweden is a country with socialized medicine, meaning they pay high taxes and then healthcare is equally given to everyone. Swedes can get private insurance, but usually don't feel the need, as it is expensive and instead choose to utilize general heathcare included in taxes. In socialized medicine, everyone gets taken good care of, and you don't have to pay extra if you even end up with cancer! The downside is that if you need or want surgery that isn't an emergency or a must, then you get to wait, sometimes years. Plastic surgery is definitely no emergency if done for cosmetic purposes, it is optional, and in fact, you have to pay quite a price for it. Instead, Swedes often go to another country in which there isn't much of a wait and it costs a lot less, even after the travel fare.
