What makes me ethnic?

I'm Asian, but I was wondering... If I got surgery and made my eyelids non-Asian in appearance, or got rid of some other ethinic traits, have I technically removed my Asianness? A faq on a surgery website asked this question: "Can cosmetic surgery change ethnicity?" making it sound like ethnicity is just a few things. (I want to know this because I'm tired of being Asian. It's not just the fact that people don't like 'em, but I've also managed to look at myself from a 3rd-person vantage, and I don't like me!)

  1. I am Asian, but no, you wouldn't because your genes would still be Asian. You could look differently though, like people who are trannies.
  2. why are you tired of being asian???..asian people are great! you need to look at this again from another angle..you dont like yourself because your asian? or is it you just dont like yourself and blaming it on being asian. and dont get that surgery, its really stupid..i honestly think that any plastic surgeon who would do that has no morals.. ask yourself this..what do you plan on telling people when they ask you what happened to your eyes? are you ready to tell them the truth? because i promise you that you'll feel worse inside than you did before. or when you have to fill out those forms and you see that box full of ethinicities and you have to check all that applys..what are you gonna do then?..your not fooling anyone including yourself..even when you get that surgery your still gonna look part asian your eyes are just going to be different..you need to learn to love yourself who cares if someone or a group of people dont like you because at the end of the day you only have yourself and thats the only thing you should give a damn about!
