Hiding marks on my eyes?

I have an auto immune liver disease, which has left me with cholesterol like deposits on my upper eyelid. The look like I have forgotten to rub the make up in. Any idea how I can hide them/disguise them? I asked about getting them removed, to be told it was classed as cosmetic surgery!! BTW if age makes a difference, I am 50+ I live in the uk. No insurance companies involved. For those suggesting glasses (tinted or otherwise) - - no thanx. I wear glasses for close work anyway. I was really looking for tips on camouflaging.

  1. don't you just love insurance companies? hahaha find another doctor who tells you (you have to suggest the idea first, though) that the cholesterol deposits are getting in the way of seeing properly because the lids won't open and close properly - this way it's not cosmetic and insurance will cover it.
  2. The simplest long term solution is a pair of tinted glasses.
  3. i have know idea how to get rid of them but i do know how to hide them - sunglasses. obviously you can only wear them outside but try to find small ones that look like glasses so you can wear them inside too
  4. eye shadow
  5. how about putting some foundation that matches your skin colour on to your eyelids :)
  6. Maybe you can see a dermatologist to seek further, professional advice. There may be some other treatment available? If its only on your upper-eyelids then it will be easy to hide them with the correct make-up as it is a small space. Once again, seek professional advice if you can. Its as easy as going into a shop such as fenwick, john Lewis or even boots where there are make-up counters (you know, the ones that usually have ladies asking you if you want to try out their new product or a make-over). They can easily find the best concealer, foundation or whatever is needed to match your skin tone and to give you the coverage you need.
  7. You should wear eye shadow that matches, or is darker than the spots.
  8. Models Prefer does an eye primer there is another face cosmetic on the satalite channels, this type of make-up is to cover portwine stains and marks like that. I have models prefer's make-up from QVC and she does a yellow powder too for covering redness which also have other types of cover make-ups. I have rocesea, so have tried them all.
