Tummy Tuck APPEARANCE Recovery Time?

I'm having a tummy tuck and hip liposuction next week to get rid of my over-distended stomach from my twin pregnancy 3 years ago. How long will it be before I can "appear" normal to people? (Not walking hunched over.) I realize it will feel weird for awhile.

  1. I had one in Jan. 2006. I was hunched over for about 5 weeks. I still don't like the way it looks. It pulled my pubic hair line up so far I have hair growing just under my belly button. And it changed my "waist line" now my pants either end up under my boobs or my pubic line. I am very dissapointed with the outcome. Good luck to you.
  2. I had it done on Jan. 27, 2006. I am an er nurse. I was hunched over for a full two weeks. I suppose I could have gone back to work then, but I took off 3 weeks. The first week back I wasn't comfortable lifting pts at work, but I was able to hold my kids (then 1 1/2 and 2 1/2). The weirdest thing was the numbness/tingling. I had the same thing you did, but also breast implants at the same time. Well worth the time and money - would do it again in a heartbeat - never looked back! The scar is hip to hip and still there, but healing nicely. I am able to wear a two piece swim suit (even the skimpy ones) and no one has mentioned my scar (even my 9 yr olds soccer team) - and you know how inquisitive and sometimes mean they can be :) . Good luck - happy new body! One other thing I should mention - my back killed from being hunched over! When I show people today how I was hunched over, it still hurts!
  3. Get liposuction and tummy tuck surgery in India.Cosmetic Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your cosmetic surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.If you still havent got your surgery done, you are better off getting it done in India. my cousin got her breast reduction/liposculpture/buttoc... lift surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare.she is more than very happy with the results.she just paid 30% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise fore this forerunners healthcare company.i personally have seen the wondeful results and am particularly impressed with the kind of quality care she got from this company.hope this helps Source(s): http://www.forerunnershealthcare.com
