is it safe to smoke weed while recovering from surgery with anesthia..?

im considering having some liposuction and thinking about my recovery time. I dont plan on taking too many pain-killers because I think they're disgusting. I do, however, plan on smoking weed. Is that safe while recovering from surgery with anesthia... Please spare me of ur personal views on marajuana. Im not interested. Smoking does not make me paranoid so my heart doesnt race if that matters at all...

  1. I would not suggest smoking cigarrettes after a surgery... So if you mesh, i would not if i were you, at least until you have healed! cigarrettes constrict blood flow. If you want to get technical with it, i would suggest the cleaner methods; space bong, water bong, or the infamous vaporizers. (go straight green for awhile and then you can go back to the mesh) And if you do not mind me asking, have you tried taking a run for a mile in the morning for a week or two? I am a personal trainer and it half kills me to hear that word, liposuction. People could say im a hypocrit, smoking and running.. BUT my wake and bake after a run, makes my head spin like i was smoking the good ole stuff out of amsterdam again. JUST SAYING. a little run every morning GOES SO FAR.. and that just means extra money you have saved from not getting some surgery!
  2. It is always safe to smoke weed - go for it.
  3. The probable answer is yes, it would be safe. Pretty much 4 types of anesthesia: local, regional, conscious sedation, and general. Liposuction is generally performed using either general anesthesia or local anesthesia. The choice depends on your surgeon’s preferences and on how large an area you are having treated. Usually, by the time you will be able to even smoke maryj, either of these will be long gone from your system, or insignificantly present in minute amnts. However, to be absolutely certain, I would consult your anesthesiologist prior to your surgery. The specific anesthetic administered to you depends on your medical history, allergies, and overall health at the time prior to your surgery. Good Luck, Kalifornia Kush baby! :D
