Why do you need to wait 2-4 weeks to exercise after liposuction surgery?

I am going to have Smartlipo done soon and am concerned that I cannot work out for almost a month.

1. Your body needs to heal itself and you could cause further damage.
2. You body has to heal....and that takes time. it is not major surgery, but it is surgery. Take it easy and let your body heal...or weight loss will be the least of your problems.
