How to get rid of moles on face without going through surgery???

I've read in similar questions that moles can be gotten rid of by seeing a doctor and undergoing a surgery, be it cutting or laser, to get rid of the mole. However, i also read from some users that creams and lotions can also hide/rid of the moles. Does anyone know more about this? Like where can i buy these creams, any side effects etc?
