  1. umm before you go get lipo, go to your doc and have them check your thyroid, which can prevent people from lossing weight.
  2. I think it is pretty gross because it leaves permanent scars where the vacuum thing has been inserted and they are circular so it is obvious when someone has had lipo. Also, it doesn't guarantee thinness. The fat cells won't grow back from where they were removed, but you could always grow more, so nothing really changes unless diet and exercise change with it.
  3. Liposuction has become safer and less painful in recent years, but there are still a number of risks you take when undergoing the procedure. -You may suffer temporary bruising, swelling, soreness or numbness on and around the treated areas. -There may be irritation and minor scarring around the areas where incisions were made. -Baggy or rippling skin usually tightens after a few months, but you still may have loose skin. Death is uncommon with liposuction, but it can still happen. There are a number of dangerous complications that can result from the procedure. -Excessive blood and fluid loss, which can lead to shock -Fat clots or blood clots -Build up of fluid in your lungs -Infection -Toxic reaction to injected fluid For more information on less common side effects, and the procedure in general, check out the website I work for, AOL Health: http://www.aolhealth.com/nonmedical-treatments/liposuction
  4. might as well get abdominal plasty instead, they take the skin that is over lapping after the lipo and cut it off, so you don;t have hanging skin all in one section. you still have to exercise and eat right or you will just gain it all back in other places. It took me a month to heal.
  5. Hey! That's a great job you're doing in changing your diet to a healthier, nutritious and well-balanced one! Keep on with it plus if you exercise regularly and consistently, you'll see results. The exercise you need to do is cardio exercise. It's the most direct and powerful way to hike up your metabolism to higher levels so you're able better to burn off excess fat from your entire body, to lose the fat and the weight. Cardio 3-4 times or 4-5 times per week for at least 30-45 minutes per session. As for liposuction, I really advise you not to go for it because the effect may not be permanent - the fat may come back if you don't exercise and eat right. Anyway, I've researched on the subject of liposuction and the risks associated with it here: http://www.perfect-body-toning.com/liposuction-risks.html I hope it helps you to understand the risk better.
