*****ADVICE PLEASE? Stomach balloon or liposuction?*****?

Hi I am wanting to have some kind of cosmetic surgery to get rid of my fat. I have had 3 children (my last 3 months ago) and am overweight. I have struggled all my life with weight problems -starved myself, throwing up after meals, atkins diet and every other diet. Even tried exercise and very healthy eating but nothing works, or if it does get me a few pounds off I put more back on in the long run. Even tried Paul Mckenna I can make you thin..... still fat! lol. Anyway I have saved up a few grand now but not sure whether to go for stomach/ gastric balloon or liposuction? I have fat arms, legs, stomach and bum. I am only a size 12 but I am 5ft4 and weigh 11 stone. Before having children and when I was at my best I weighed 9st and was size 8-10. This is what I want to be again. But which would be best? I am worried if I have lipo they wont get rid of all the fat I want. Or if I have stomach balloon what if I put the weight back on? Anyone had either surgery and what do you think is best for me? Thanks so much for any advice in advance xxx I never said I wanted a gastric bypass. A gastric/stomach balloon is what I meant.

  1. No doctor worth their salt will give you gastric bypass. This procedure is saved for the extremely overweight. Considering you are only 2 stone from your best, gastric bypass is not an option for you, not at all. -Despite you not seeking gastric bypass, the stomach balloon is still rather extreme for your condition, and I doubt many doctors would recommend it over liposuction.- Liposuction is an option, but the truth of the matter is that no matter how the weight comes off, if habits are not changed, the weight will come back. There are very simple ways to lose weight. Proper weight loss is not instantaneous: in fact, healthy weight loss is about 1.5-2 lbs a week. However, losing weight and keeping it off requires a lifestyle change and determination. By monitoring caloric intake and exercise, healthy weight loss can be achieved, with a much lower price tag than liposuction. Your body will be healthier as a result of natural weight loss, and you will not have to worry about the potential risks of surgery. Fortunately, you do not need to figure out dieting on your own. Forget the Atkin's plan or any of those "quick fixes". See your doctor or a dietician and get yourself on the right track for healthy, gradual weight loss. Your eventual re-gaining of weight after trying healthy plans is a result of treating your diet as temporary. Make a lifestyle change, and you can help your health immensely, as well as your self image.
