Can an eye being smaller than the other be made even at an opticians?

It's not that noticable, but it needs sorting, it's been like that for quite a while. The upper eyelid just seems to go down more than the other one making my whole eye appear smaller in comparison. Could I get this problem fixed at an opticians, or would I have to go to a cosmetic surgery?

  1. cosmetic surgery might correct the asymmetry. Your eyes are the same size - it's the amount of exposure (i.e.: how much is exposed/covered by the eye lids) that establishes the perceived size of one's eyes. Consult with an eye doctor though as there might be a corrective pair of lenses that may assist one eye to open up more thus equaling the size of the two.
  2. Opticians are only qualified and trained to measure your vision and make glasses - they are not doctors of any kind. For this you need the help of either an ophthalmologist (a real medical doctor, specializing in the eye), or a cosmetic surgeon.
