To all michael jackson fans & people who think they might know the answer?

I would like to ask you about Michael Jackson. Before his death, MJ is more famous because of his bizarre an allegation. I'm not trying to attack him at all, to be honest I even like him. But that is the fact, before his shocking death every time we mention MJ he was connected to allegation, molestation, plastic surgery etc. Very few people remember about his grammy record, album selling, music genius. I was born in 1987. And since I can remember people and media always said he was weird. VERY few of my friend, --and anyone at my age-- even know about his humanity and charity. What I want to ask is there any of you remember since when exactly people thought that MJ is weird? And why? Whats the exact cause that make people call him wacko? Dont say it was the allegation cause i read people call him wacko even before the allegation in 1993. Dont say because of plastic surgery too. In 1980's i dont think his face showed something weird, plastic surgery signs of course but NOT that bad, besides mostly celebrity also did it. A lot of celebrity did much terrible things that he did, instead of called wacko this celebrity become more and more famous. And people still think these celebrity is cool. There are celebrity who beat his girlfriend, the other celebrity keep making a scandal with sex tape, the other one become and alcoholic. But as I can remember none of this celebrity was called Wacko for their bizarre habits. I just cant get it. And since im not living in the US hard to find someone older who know and remember the exact reason. Share what you though with me..Thx a lot. I would like to hear about about your personal opinion. Did you personally think he was as wacko as the media always said about him? Or did you think he was just a victim from the media industry?

  1. I was born in 1980 and he was real big when i was 13 he got allegated for child molestation and when they said on the radio that he wasn't going to jail. I cried i was so happy I jumped and said "OH MY GOD!YEA!That's what the kid gets!"
  2. Is this even a question? Ridiculous! If you just want your opinion on things read, why don't you just start a blog or something? Don't waste everyone's time here..
  3. Well I think Wacko Jacko came around a British tabloid called The Sun (full of crap) when they made up stories of him sleeping in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber (when it was a machine in a burns centre that he donated to - how could they be more wrong.) Also they made up stories saying that he bought the elephant man's bones?! Michael Jackson even said so himself - "Why would I want a pile of dead man's bones?" *He chuckles* Do not believe the trash the media present people out to be - they do it for the money, and for the publicity - and do not care who they hurt on the way,
  4. I've been a fan since 1970. I was 10, Michael was 12. The first record I bought was "I'll be there" on a 45rpm disk with the silver and blue Motown label. I was 22 when Thriller came out and it was the biggest success so far of Micheal's career and personally, I don't think he knew how to handle all the fame and glory all that well. He had been big before but nothing like the fame and adoration he found with Thriller! Nothing like it at all! This is when, I think, he started traveling and he met Princess Di and got infatuated with her. But around this time, some tabloid came out and said he went to England to buy John Merrick's bones (the elephant man). Michael wasn't used to tabloid trash. It hurt him to have someone making fun of him. Then after his hair caught on fire during that Pepsi commercial in 84, *everybody* started making fun of him. He really couldn't handle it. I mean, who could? He became a walking joke thanks to the f**king tabloids. He tried fighting back through his music and videos, but it only made things worse for him. The late 80s were nothing but the tabloids talking crap about him and him trying to make his music and fighting Vitiligo and had a couple of nose surgeries and the tabloids picked up steam in their bashing of him. And in 1993, he was first accused of the molestation and that basically ended it all for him and his most devoted fans. Thats what I saw...I could see that he was suffering depression and going into severe mental exhaustion, but nothing was being done about it I guess...I never heard anything. Poor Michael...those goddamned tabloids murdered him...they killed his soul. they should be put out of business and I'm going to hate to my death anyone I see looking at one of them because as long as people buy those pieces of ssh*t, they'll remain in business!!!!!! 5. I was born 1973. I can remember when Thriller came out and how big that was. Back then, he was like all the 'superstars' of today put together! All us young girls had crushes on him, all the boys at school wanted to moonwalk like him. It was just such a sensation though, it really increased the spotlight on him publicly and privately. And since he'd been a child star, the media seemed to think he was just public property and they could write what they wanted to about him. Some of it he started himself. From Wikipedia "He became the subject of increasingly sensational reports. In 1986, the tabloids ran a story claiming that Jackson slept in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber to slow the aging process; he was pictured lying down in a glass box. Although the claim was untrue, Jackson had disseminated the fabricated story himself.[42][43] When Jackson bought a chimpanzee called Bubbles from a laboratory, it was reported as an example of increasing detachment from reality.[44] It was reported that Jackson had offered to buy the bones of Joseph Merrick (the "elephant man") and although untrue, Jackson did not deny the story.[42][43] He stopped leaking untruths to the press, so the media began making up their own stories.[43][45]" I think also he had an offbeat sense of humour and was sometimes just kidding around, but the media would report him entirely seriously, not including the joke in it. By Thriller, he already looked different to previously. He'd lost some weight so his face angles were sharper. He'd also had surgery on his nose. That's the least that he had done. But there were rumours he'd had more. Like eyelid reduction, a cleft put in his chin, etc. But people liked it at that point. Shortly afterwards, his scalp became burnt, and he needed more plastic surgery and was prescribed pain killers. Some have noted at this time he appeared to undergo a 'change in personality', a symptom of addiction and probably inability to deal with all the public pressure. By the time of Bad, it was noticeable that his skin was also becoming lighter. And MJ didn't really address this until the Oprah interview a few years later. Of course by then they were also talking about the kids at Neverland Ranch. And people had been speculating about his interest in kids since his early friendship with TV child actor Emmanuel Lewis in the mid 1980s. There was always a lot of speculation about his private life. Was he gay or straight? Was he still a virgin? Why did he grab his crotch onstage etc etc. It was also said he was obsessed with Liz Taylor and had a shrine to her in his home. He was a very confusing person. And never really on the same wavelength as the media. Having never really had a normal life, he seemed unaware of 'normal' codes of conduct and perception which we take for granted. I'm not going to say he was a completely normal, average guy - he wasn't. But the media took an inch and ran a mile. I can't say if he was guilty or innocent, he paid his first accuser a big sum of money to avoid court. He was never officially found guilty. From what I read though it seems to me Neverland was run very badly. Sadly it seemed to be an unhappy, alienated, lonely middle aged man retreating into a kind of childish fantasy in order to escape his traumas.
  6. MJ became weird coz of his actions. When he deliberately wore a face mask only to ignite the media. He did weird things for the fame, its coz of him no one else.
  7. When i say this please don't take this offensively, unless your one of the people I'm talking about. But I think for some people out there were jelouse and mad that a BLACK man made such a impact in music and made hits while selling number #1 albums. And made the best selling EVER album in HIstory and were just mad that it wasn't a white man who made such an impact in the world of music and and had such a kind heart. People were just hating on Michael and needed to remove the racist cob up their butts. And that's the reason why some people called him Wacko because they were haters.
  8. his manager at the the time planted some fake stories in the the tabloids....(sleeping in an oxygen chamber....buying elephant man's bones) with the belief that any news is good news...plus he felt it created a mystique about michael.. (it wasn't until 1993 that he explained the change in skin color) he could have put an end right away but once again it added to the mystique... you are gonna have to learn that the media and the stars use each other.... i think the baby dangling incident was the breaking point for a lot of people.. you make EXCELLENT points in your question though
