- In the short-term it may, but in 10-15 years when we start to see the long-term effects of laser eye surgery, who knows.
- Hello, I'm a doctor. I think that you want to get more info about it. Please go to http://healthylife09.blogspot.com/?q=%20jeopardy%20considering
- Not necessarily. Though there have been major improvements in laser surgery, many people, including myself, would not even think about having it. I'm far too nervous about the risks, and would much rather spend the money on contacts and glasses. I have many friends that feel the same way. As long as there are people who are not willing to risk their eyesight for vanity, there will always be a need for opticians. So I don't think we have anything to worry about just yet.
- Maybe slightly but there will always be skeptics. I would love not to have to wear glasses but I'm not sure I'd be willing to take the risk of being completely blind in one (or both) eye(s) if the person screwed up during the procedure. And, as mentioned before there is the long term factor. We still don't know what will happen to the recipients in years to come. Glasses are a pain but I think I'll stick with them.
- No, because optometrists usually do the post-op care. Also, not everyone will be candidates for lasik.
- no..its possibly but unlikely because some people may not like the idea of laser eye surgery and/or may not be suitable for it
