Why is that some people are clearly hypocrite towards the topic which is plastic surgery?

Our teacher told us about a story of women underwent surgery and then the surgery went wrong .The professor asked us if we would consider plastic surgery and almost all of us disagreed to the idea of including me but later I've realized yeah sure we need to be contented on the looks that God gave us ... but I said to myself what if that let's say face of yours really makes you wanna break the mirror or it somewhat affects your socially .
