I am overweight, will liposuction work? How much does it cost?
I'm 90Kg and 170cm tall, way beyond my BMI. Would liposuction remove my belly? Any idea how much it might cost? Has anyone done it?

- I've never done liposuction but I can tell you that it isn't for weight loss; it's for reducing accumulated fat in trouble spots. If you look up before and after photos of the procedure, you can see for yourself that it's typically done on normal-weight people with trouble areas, and that the difference isn't that remarkable.
- I don't think you should try a liposuction because it may be dangerous for your health if not done correctly etc... JUst try to go on a diet or do more exercises
- you really just need stop eating so much and be more active, exercise everyday to the point that your shirt is wet from your sweat. Taking the easy way out will have its consequences in the future.
- You can't get lipo UNTIL AND IF you lose a lot and that gut becomes flaccid and has a lot of floppy skin and fat in it. If you have a heavy, taut belly, lipo will not work. --------- Calculated 2 ways, this is what you should weigh by BMI 5' 7" 121-159 pounds by Uni of Wisc 5' 7" 148 pounds You are approximately 50 pounds overweight. Knock that down by at least 30 pounds, before you consider lipo for post weight-loss "clean-up" and "detailing". Good luck
- just don't eat all that junk shit and you'll be fine. lip costs like a million dollars, hurts like hell, and takes you a whole year to recover.
- You just weigh 20 or so to much:a better idea then liposuction is to go running biking and swimming each day. Try to lessen the intake of fat and junk food and sugared products:try a healthy diet:lots of green food lean meat:like chicken or veal. You will loose a lot of weight that way. Success:Colors
- It won't do any good if you're going to continue to be a slob.
- Liposuction is a cosmetic surgery, meaning it will do something to improve your body silhouette but it will not go to the root of your weight problem and solve it. This is because after the surgery, you still need to exercise and eat healthy, to maintain your weight. Or else, the chances of fat coming back to the area undergone liposuction or to other areas, are pretty high. I've written a page on the effect of liposuction here: http://www.perfect-body-toning.com/effects-of-liposuction.html It costs a lot; say like in the range of $1,500 up to $7,500, depending on these: 1. How much fat you wanna removed; the more, the higher cost 2. How big your body size; bigger size; higher cost 3. Where you do it; hospital costs more; clinic cheaper 4. The surgeon doing it - the skillful, experienced and qualified one charges you a hefty fee 5. How many areas you wanna do; if you go for 2-3 areas (like arm, tummy and thigh....), naturally the costs are higher This guide on the costs might give you some idea: http://www.perfect-body-toning.com/cost-of-liposuction.html
