about liposuction and recovery?
okay, here's the thing. i'm chinese, and chinese girls are famous for being tiny. i'm 5'5", 120 lb, and when i'm in china or with chinese friends here they'd always hint at me that i need to lose some weight. sometimes they are downright rude. the thing is, i exercise and eat healthy and everything, but i sitll have bumps here and there. i'm just sick of being made fun of, so now i am seriously considering doing liposuction. can you guys share your experiences? do you recover well afterwards? and most importantly, are you happy that you did it?

- Just an FYI, you can also look up the procedure online (esp for whatever body part you want done) and some sites will have message boards where people post about their experiences. You can learn about the procedure, recovery time, scarring, possible hazards, etc. If you've got extra fat, concentrate on your cardio exercise and in addition, work on toning exercises for those areas. Leave lipo as a last resort. I'm not against surgery but it's expensive and painful so if you can get the results naturally, that's the preferred option. Also...do it for YOU, not because of what others say. If you alter your body for other people, you'll never be happy with yourself.
- Its not wrong, But why would you do all that spend all that money go through all that pain...When your not even fat? Just because these "friends" of yours make fun of you? thats just a waiste when you can do some sit ups and have a flat stomach..another stterotype "chinease people are small" it may be true in some cases but not all....My advice to you is "STOP BEING SENSITIVE OF WHAT PEOPLE SAY AND BE YOU! NOBODY CAN JUDGE YOU!" I dont know you but at 120 pounds thats a healthy weight ( A good weight if i may say) if you get any skinnier than that then your friends are gonna do more than be rude but they probaly would stop hanging around you...think about it.
- I THINK YOUR FRIENDS ARE JEALOUS . 120 LBS FOR 5 5 IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO FAT. BE A LEADER NOT A FOLLOWER
- Well, in the first place, per your height, you're not even near overweight..... Liposuction is a cosmetic surgery that removes fat from your body but does not solve the root cause - the weight problem. It's risky, could cause unnecessary complication and even dangerous for you to go for it. It's also a very costly surgery and involves quite a long down time (from 1 to 3 weeks) and takes about 6 months (give & take) to fully see the results, if done professionally and skillfully by a qualified surgeon. You stand to risk this - the fat may come back to the area undergone liposuction or worse still, to other areas as well, should you not eat right and exercise regularly. I don't have any experience in liposuction but I've researched thoroughly on the subject. I'm not against it but suffice to say that it should only be the last resort. I think if you read this page which I've written on liposuction, many of which unscrupulous surgeon won't tell you about, you'll know what to do with your body: http://www.perfect-body-toning.com/dangers-of-liposuction.html Exercise and eat right go a long, long way to help you manage your weight. Believe me.
