I have a girlfriend who had breast implants and wants to join the military, it's not a preexisting condition, not medical, just something she wanted. This also goes for other cosmetic procedures, liposuction, tummy tuck, bow-lift etc. If it's cosmetic, not a preexisting medical condition, you can have tattoos, why not plastic surgery? Does anyone know if you should not disclose the information about plastic surgery to guarantee getting in (i.e. my friend doesn't tell them about her surgeries and hopes her boobs don't pop) or if you should bring it in the open and let your examining doctor know? I know plenty of people who have serious mental and physical issues, go off their medications "hide" their conditions, lie to the recruiter and doctor and then pretend that they all of a sudden developed a psychological or physical disorder for which they are treated by the branch they joined, how does this work with cosmetic surgery, should I tell my friend to sweep it under the rug and as I said hope she doesn't have a pop, I mean in theory, she could have them done during a long enough leave, she's not a child needing permission from the government to have her breasts done or liposuction etc. I have had laser hair removal, as well as laser tattoo and scar removal, what about that? What if I want a Brazilian Butt lift (I too am joining, a different branch, she's going Navy.) Do I have to tell them I had a butt lift prior to joining, I mean if I survive with no issues there are no preexisting conditions, right? Thanks
