What is the total cost for HRT with genital and chest reconstructive surgery? (FTM)?
Hey guys. I was wondering what the total cost of hormone replacement therapy, genital reconstructive surgery, and chest reconstructive surgery for an FTM transgendered person would be. Also, if you could list the individual prices and the estimated total, that would be great. Thanks.

- top surgery can be anywhere from 6k-10k T on average is $300 monthy not exact prices, just an approximation
- Chest Surgery: $1,500 to $8,500. Metoidioplasty: $18,000 maximum - $2000 for surgery to release the clitoris alone. Phalloplasty: $50,000 to $150,000 You can order testosterone online for under 100$.
- T isn't that expensive, depending on what type you get. The most common, injectable testosterone cypionate in a 200 mg/mL dosage is about $150 for 10 mL (meaning, if you take 1 mL every two weeks (fairly standard dose) it'll last you 20 weeks... I get mine at a compounding pharmacy for much less than that (I pay $50 for 200 mg/mL at a dose of .5 mL every two weeks; it lasts me a good 5 or 6 months). There are other forms of T that are available (most cost more, but I've no idea of the prices). There's patches, creams, gels, pellets, tablets, and buccal lozenges. And outside the US there's a shot you only have to take every 3 months or something, instead of two weeks. You'll probably also need to take into consideration therapy, binders, packers, name/gender marker changes in court and on documents and other things necessary/ helpful for transition if you're researching transition costs.
