What do you think of plastic surgeries?

Do you loose respect for people that go thru there's procedures or do you applaud them for adjusting their image.

If you've seen the show Nip N'Tuck, you'll know that there are many wealthy women who do it as a narcissistic hobby. I've no respect for such people. However, there are people who really do have abnormal features, and accident victims, and I am very pleased that such procedures are available to them.
If someone is so unhappy with the way he/she looks, then he/she is unhappy with whom they are. Plastic surgery that is purely elective and not the result of an accident shows a lack of self-respect, so it diminishes my respect for and increases my pity for that person. (It's as unnecessary as a hyphen in "un-necessary.")
It's un-necessary. The money that is spent on cosmetic surgery could EASILY be spent on the alien space port the CIA is trying to build on Mars.... When are people EVER going to change their priorities.....damn!
