What do you think about Asian people getting "Double EyeLid Surgery" to look Western? Is this normal?

What do you think about this cosmetic procedure??! Should it be banned?! What is the point of it apart from making Asian people feel bad about their genetics?!? Also, it is a form of "Blackface"...except it's "Whiteface"!! Asian people trying to look white! Isn't it racist?!

1. I think it's sad that they feel like they need to do this... so many people give asians shit about their eyes, so really you can't blame them. Hate/discrimination never goes anywhere good.

3. its not necessarily to look more WESTERN, thats just a nice little thing white people tell themselves to make them feel better. they assume every plastic surgery procedure that any minority raced person goes through is to make them look more WHITE. oh look she got double-eyelid surgery, she wants to be white! oh look she got liposuction, she wants to be white! oh look she got botox, she must want to be white! i know many jewish girls who have gotten nose jobs to get rid of the hump that they have. does that mean they hate their jewish heritage? plastic surgery is because someone feels that they will feel better about themselves if they change something, and usually not because they hate their race and want to disown their culture. you really should think twice before making such ignorant claims. you should be ashamed.
4. if Asian are going under the knife to look like White/Western....then who are the white/western trying to look like when they have plastic surgery?
5. I wouldn't call it "Whiteface", because unlike Blackface, Asians aren't doing this to taunt/make fun of white people. This is actually an example of how Eurocentricism effects Asian nations. I would say that Asians usually do this to appear more "European" or to maybe pass as half white. It's sad because I find their features very stunning. Edit: Seeing Rinka's post, she has a valid point.
6. really..since when did ONLY white/western people had double eyelids????..as far as i know indians middle eastereners,africans etc all have double eyelids!!!..so why do white people think itss done to imitate them????..your question only shows your stupidity..asians do eyelid surgery to look like the asians who have them naturally!!..sometimes having single eyelid can make u look older than ur age..they are not doing it to copy anyone jeezzzz..they are a pretty happy and succesfull lot.
