Is there a web site that I can get some prices for plastic surgery procedures in my area?
I live in South Carolina and I am thinking of getting plastic surgery to correct a problem. I do not know of any plastic surgeon in my area and I don't know anyone who has gone to get any done. I also don't want to waste money on a consultation only to find out that there is no way that I can afford it.

- Try google but that is not the measure of a good Dr. Ask around, get referrals and check with the state if they have any complaints after all, it's your health!
- You need to go to the American Board of Plastic Surgery website and first read about your particular procedure and then look up your state/area for a reputable, board certified plastic surgeon. Before undergoing any procedure you will need to have a consultation, write down all your questions before you go and then ask for pictures/referrals from the surgeon of clients who have had the same procedure. Beware of any surgeon who wants to rush into the surgery. You need to know the risks, what to expect, and how long recovery will take for this surgery. www.boardcertifieddatabase.com is the website that you need to access to find a board certified surgeon in your state.
- There is no website that will have definite prices. Since this is a surgical procedure you want to be sure you are going to a good Dr. that will be safe and you will not have any complications (that will cost you more in the long run). I would ask people you know for a name of a good doctor or call the state medical board for a recommendation. Keep in mind prices vary depending on what you want done from probably $2,000 to $50,000.
- I had a breast reduction, tummy tuck, lipo on 12/14/06. Believe me this is not something you want to cheap out on! It is a big deal and it is SURGERY!!! We tend to think that, because it is cosmetic, it is not really surgery. Trust me, it is! Anyway, to answer your question. Go to www.plasticsurgery.org. I believe there are links there. Call your local hospital and ask for references. Then call the doctor's office. They will likely be able to give you a ball park figure. Don't let this deter you. Many doctors have financial arrangements to help you pay for it. My doctor's office worked hard to get as much paid for by insurance as possible and then helped me arrange financing for the rest. It was worth it to get a quality doctor! p.s. it really isn't as expensive as most people think and I got a small discount for having multiple procedures done at once because the OR/Anesthesia, etc was already paid for.
- dont go cheap or you will regret it!!!
- Plastic surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America. Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star. http://www.forerunnershealthcare.com Hope this helps.
