Some Christians...(fundamentalists) say that plastic surgery is wrong but......?

according to your religion it's wrong because it goes against god's original design and its a sin. You think that by making your appearance look better its telling god 'i think your depiction/creation of me was wrong so i changed myself' this is considered a sin according to the christian faith but what if a burn victim got plastic surgery to make their wounds less noticeable...are they going to hell?

Public Comments

  1. Not if there doing it to repair something that got messed up. Getting plastic surgery doesn't necessarily mean your going to hell.
  2. God obviously knew they would have plastic surgery, so no.
  3. Plastic surgery is a neutral thing. It is up to the Christian. However, addiction to plastic surgery is wrong.
  4. If the barn needs painting and fixing, then do it!!
  5. wow screw that
  6. I love these trick questions lol people can do what they want if they cant stand seeing themselves in the mirror they want to look like an actress or singer or something out of a horror movie.. well they can do what they want if G-D wants burn victims to have plastic surgery because of and accident then im for it. one is for wanting to look like the world . the other for reasons maybe you cant understand. so called chrsitians.. yes they are so called christians thats all they will ever be.. to judge one
  7. I think you shouldnt get plastic surgery unless your in dire need of it... i do think all of God`s creations are perfect. i think it`s okay with after accidents or cleft palates but to improve something thats already perfect is uncool. i dont think they are going to hell i think God is just not impressed with the decision and i think God is hurt because they cant accept his Creation
  8. i think it might be ok ; some times we come out in what may not be an original design there birth defects cause the parent did drugs or some accident happened my cousin was in a car wreck in his younger years and messed him up but the sugery and i am sure the cos. surgery saved his sanity its not all vanity. peace
  9. No, they are not. I don't remember the Bible stating that plastic surgery was a sin, but I have only read the Bible twice...I could have overlooked that one.
  10. I'm no longer a fundamentalist Christian, but I do have strong opinions about plastic surgery....especially cosmetic surgery. I do believe that a person is always beautiful, not just from outside the skin but what goes on inside. Skin grafts are necessary at times to preserve the safety of skin from infection. As an Agnostic, I respect each human being for who they are, including what they look like. I seek and find the beauty of the entire person, not just what he or she looks like. Tattoos, tummy tucks, breast implants, liposuction, chin lifts and the like distort the person. I generally feel sad when a person chooses to do these types of procedures, but alas it is the person's choice. How's that for a change?
  11. Typical idiot christian thinking in other words inability to reach conclusions, by that exact same logic and argument, followed to its natural conclusion, it is a sin to comb your hair, or cut it for that matter, reconstructive surgery, its proper name, is no different from lipstick
  12. ROFL, were do you get your Facts? I'm a Fundamental Baptist and I have to say plastic surgery is in no way a Sin. As you've said, plastic surgery is a great way to help get rid of scars and burn marks and other such things, and also has many different medical uses, such as changing the size of the nostrils to help a person breath better. The only time it becomes a sin is when it is used in a purely cosmetic way, when you have nothing wrong with you physically other than you simple do not like your God-Given face, saying something like "Oh, my lips are to thin" or "My nose is to big" ect ect ect. that is Nothing more than Vanity which is a Sin.
  13. Sorry but that is not the view of true fundamentalists. Actually there is no reference to the subject of plastic surgery in the Bible and true fundamentalists of the Christian faith follow the teachings in the Bible now there may be some who claim to be fundamentalists that may see it that way but not so with true fundamentalists. For a true fundamentalist would tell you that it matters not if you had plastic surgery if you do not receive Salvation which is only found in Christ Jesus you will go to hell. For the Bible clearly teaches that all have sinned and all are headed for damnation except they repent of sins and receive the gift of Salvation in Christ Jesus. Please do get your facts straight for though some churches have followed the teaching you mention it is not a fundamental teaching of the bible or Christianity.
  14. Ok you are a total freak its official you are obsessed with plastic surgery! U have posted multiple post regarding this issue and it seems that no answer can satisfy you because you are a cowardly troll with no life! U should grow up and stop playing with the computer. Maybe u want plastic surgery so bad because Jesus made u hideous because he knew u were going to grow up to eventually be a useless ignorant moron!!!!!!! Ahh u make fun of me because I believe I make fun of you because you don't. Lol "God doesn't exist or whatever thats why I'll troll on yahoo answers i'm so cool." ur a failure.
