What is so terrible about a 15 year old getting a nose job?

My friend's step mom has been trying to get her a nose job for a while. They've been saving up, and now no plastic surgeon will do it. My friend is 15. Whats the big deal? This girl's nose is huge, and she would be gorgeous with a smaller one. What's so bad about it?

1. That her nose was not broken, plastic surgery should only be reconstructive.
2. Because that's the way you were born, don't change yourself so soon. Give your self time to MAYBE accept yourself. if you're 18-23 and you still want the surgery, then get it. But I would personally never operate on anything unless it's mandatory.
3. You're not done growing. The nose grows until you die anyways.
4. The problem is that she is still growing. Her face might grow to fit her nose in a few years. If it doesn't, she can always get a nose job then. My nose used to look huge on my face, but thankfully they evened out as I aged and I no longer hate my nose. People used to call me Horse due to my large schnoz.

6. Nose jobs should only be for those who broke their nose. There's nothing wrong with a nose you were born with.

8. The problem with it is that she's 15. A human being ceases to grow at around 19 years old. Thus, her nose could change drastically before then. My older sister had the same issue. Her nose was massive compared to her face from ages 12 till 17. In her 18th year, it evened out and ended up looking perfectly normal, even small and perky. She needs to grow more, and not just assume that she's going to look that way forever. She could end up looking like Michael Jackson for all you know!
9. It's two values that western society seem to idealize. 1 - that people should be happy with who they are. 2 - children are too young to make life long decisions. The issue is a combination of these two values in western society.
10. That doesn't make sense that no surgeon would do it. Good surgeon's can perform rhinoplasty on girls as young as 14.
