Need some advice on what i can do to get $1500.00 back for a down payment for plastic surgery.?

I decided i wanted to get plastic surgery but i didnt have good credit so i decided to contact a finance company . First they told me that i needed a $500 deposite for a consultation with 1 of there "top" surgeons. the money was refundable if i decided not to get it. when i meant the doctor he was rude and i got a bad vibe from him. but i thought since he's one of the best in NY then i should just choose him . i gave $1000.00 more to the finance company to "secure the plastic surgery date". Now i decided that i dont want to go threw with it . when i signed the application that they faxed me it said that " by signing this paper you cant get a refund whats so ever" Does anyone know if there is anything that i can do to get my money back. Should i speak to lawyers? please help thank you so much.

Before you spend money on attorneys, contact the consumers affairs division in state govt...usually part of the Secretary of State's office. They may be able to help, or at least tell you your rights.
