- Most foreign countries are pretty sympathetic to the look of the Irish, so i wouldn't worry too much about your appearance. Besides, plastic surgery can be very expensive..
- Hello Ireland! (I've been, it's beautiful.) Anyway, your question is a toughie. I was immediately going to say, S. California (first, because I live here, and second, because plastic surgery here is among the best in the world- and unfortunately, the most expensive) I would look into Arizona, Texas (Houston or Dallas). But first of all, I would do some homework. Google or Wikipedia 'Inexpensive Plastic Surgery" in whatever country you're leaning towards and you will definitely get some hits, especially from Google. I don't know about the rest of Europe, but what about London? I guess London would be as expensive or more so than L.A....Hmm, Italy? France? The French are not so much for plastic surgery, I've noticed. They actually celebrate looking as they are. I'd also try to get a hold of some plastic surgery journals- and you would be able to read up on the surgeons criteria and education. I wish I knew more! Good luck!
- try UK, as its close so u will save the accomdation & travelling money
- CHINA
- I think you need to sit and seriously ask yourself whether you need the surgery in the first place. There have been many instances of people going aborad because it is cheaper only be to in distress many miles form home with an incompetent doctor who speaks hardly an English. If you really just want to get away from it all - book a holiday! But if you are serious about private cosmetic surgery, then a good and practical place to start is your own GP. he may well have a selection of the best OR know how and where to start. The internet is a great source of information too, but you need to be sure you are dealing with reputable peole and not fly-by-nights, so get recommendations and follow them up.

- The high costs of healthcare in industrialized countries, the improved standards in foreign countries, the lower costs of air travel and internet marketing have made medical tourism a popular trend nowadays. More and more people from all over the world are traveling to other countries not only as tourists who come for sightseeing and shopping but also as patients who come for medical services such as cosmetic plastic surgery. In the Philippines, both local and foreign patients who otherwise couldn't afford plastic surgery benefit from the highly favorable exchange rate. Lower overhead costs and professional fees makes it possible for surgeons to charge a fraction of the cost of the same procedures in the United States, U.K. and other countries. The cost savings are significant and the Philippines' medical services can rival the best in the world. However, whether having plastic surgery in your home country or abroad, the discerning patient should choose a plastic surgeon who is board certified in plastic surgery, not in another specialty. In the Philippines, I would recommend Dr. Carlos Lasa, Jr. He is a board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon who trained in the Philippines and in the United States.
