1. They'll do it. Just be honest with them. The fact that you burn may affect the meds they give you. As for smoking after surgery, there's a small chance of ripping stitches if you cough really hard, but it's a really small chance.

3. you will want to stop for a period of time. about a week prior to surgery and until you heal. smoking (anything) decreases your immunity and will slow your healing time and make you more susceptible to post op infections. if you must smoke take a vitamin c supplement.
