Why is it SUCH a BIG deal if you have black hair and colored eyes?

Ok, I have naturally jet black hair and ... like a golden tan skin color. I wear custom contacts, they look 100% natural and gorgeous, EXACTLY like a real human eye color, it's what the entertainment industry uses, and they're about $10,000 a pair. Anyways, my custom contacts are ice blue. And I wear them every single day, 365 days a year, 24/7. And guys always seem to compliment my eyes, and say "Wow, your eyes are so pretty" and it makes me feel bad because what would they say if I told them they're contacts? Or what would they say if I took them off? They're probably going to think of me as less pretty and go on to some girl that does have colored eyes. (Although, I would NEVER show a guy I'm less confident, or he's better than I am. NEVER) I want to know why is it such a big deal? I won't stop wearing them, because I LOVE them, they make my eyes look gorgeous, and they make me feel sooo confident. Just like girls wear makeup and color their hair and go tanning and get plastic surgery, etc. The only thing I wear is eye liner and my contacts and lip gloss and that is all. So, yes, I am a natural girl. (Nobody can be COMPLETELY natural. We all have to clean ourseleves, do our hair, etc.) Anyway, my question is why do guys make it a big deal? I'm afraid because, how am I supposed to have a guy like me if he's going to think of me as less pretty because I tell him I'm wearing contacts? ... Wouldn't he just go find another girl with colored eyes? ..How am I supposed to get married? All I do with myself is just wear natural ice blue contacts, lip gloss and eye liner. It's not that much. What the hell, all girls tan, wear makeup, style their hair, fake books, and the celebrities do much much more. Please help me! ....Guys honestly, what do you think? Thank you Nooo. Which part? And also, the contacts are about $3,000 but I buy about 3 pairs at one time, so I just said 10,000. Sorry I wasn't paying attention when I typed this

i like a girl with black hair and blue eyes and i would be ok with the fact that they were only contacts. i like a girl to be natural and anything she changes about herself can be taken off at night.
Black hair has nothing to do with it, I think. I have natural blue eyes, and guys compliment me on them a bunch too. I think it's just eyes in general. It's the same way with girls who have huge brown eyes.
No they don't look natural, becuz a punet square of dominant and recessive genes show that it's a nearly impossible combination. Black hair is a dominant gene and usually characteristic of certain nationalities, black, asian, latino, etc. Brown eyes are also dominant genes of these nationalities. Most caucasians, do not have naturally jet black hair, it's recessive with caucasian genes, and caucasians are generally the only people with a natural light colored eye.
just tell them that they are contacts. i don't see no big deal my wife has ice blue eyes and she dyes her hair black but it doesn't make me more attracted to her.

You don't want a guy who only likes you for your looks, You want a guy who will like you for who you are not how you look like. if you like wearing the contacts that's all that matters.(in my opinion the guys who only look at appearance in woman are scum and aren't worth your time) so don't stress it I kind of agree with the other answerers a bit too about 10,000 dollars for contacts being a bit too ridiculous but i don't know much about contacts and prices and all that junk lol Oh i was just agreeing that 10,000 dollars seemed a bit ridiculous lol sorry it does seem a bit odd but it doesn't change what i said before.
its like dyeing your hair if a guy says wow u have such pretty blond hair but its not your real hair right and if a guy love he wont care about your eye color (Alot of people with dyed hair get married)
Whats your point? Guys should like your eyes for what they are - dont get paranoid about what colour they are i wear (clear) contacts to correct my vision wooooopie OK if your gonna brag - so am i. You shouldn't worry about it because a guy worth keeping around wont judge you by your eyes. Thats a pretty shallow move. I like eyes just as much as everyone else, but it doesn't make a person who they are. And as for why people make a big deal out of it...I have no clue. Im guessing its kind of rare? I have dark hair, tan skin, and natural green eyes...and no one other than my mother believes they are real.

its obviously because youve been wearing them so much if you didnt youd probably still get comments from guys all the time. they just tihnk it's pretty because it's different. if you really are pretty, everyone will think so no matter what kind of eye color you have. besides dark eyes can be pretty too. everyone always comments on my black eyes and black hair. my eyes aren't really black though, just a super super dark brown. i hate plastic surgery. if anyone can be beautiful, it makes us naturally pretty girls look less special. geeze, 10,000 a pair? if your family super rich?
I think a guy will still like you even after he finds out you wear (gasp!) contacts. Guys find it so intriguing because dark hair with bright blue eyes is unique. I think if you started to date someone and told them that they are contacts it wouldn't be a huge deal or a deal breaker for that matter.
If a guy is put off by the color of your eyes, he isn't the right person to be with. You want someone who doesn't care what your eyes, hair, etc look like, but likes you for you. Any time a guy seems to be off-put by your eyes, just say "Have a nice day!" and think to yourself that you saved yourself a lot of trouble of going through heartbreak, big or small. Coming from a guy: it's not really how you look, it's how you are. Someone who is overly concerned about the way they look is not that attractive. Be yourself. Dress and make yourself up the way YOU want to be. That way, when the right man comes, he will see right through it, and not expect you to be made up like a doll all the time.
Look. don't worry about it! It's like you said yourself how is it different from wearing fake tan or hair extension? If you say it's not a big deal to you don't let what anyone else thinks or says bother you, half of the time it's just jealousy anyway! BTW great combination ..black hair and colored eyes! I have dark brown hair and very smooth grey eyes (No flecks) and i get complimented all the time about my eyes..i also get complimented all the time about my long hair..but i don't tell everyone i wear hair extensions lol...just carry on doing what you are doing..you will look gorgeous!

Wow you wrote a book! :-p ok well i have naturally blueish/ greenish/ grayish colored eye and recently dyed my hair jet black from blonde.. I get the same compliments as a blonde as I do with darker hair... Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.. So I'm sure everyone has different likings some may like dark hair dark eyes some may like blue eyes red hair.. everyone is different.. But I will say this your eye colour probably isn't what makes you beautiful.. it may enhance you a bit but I'm sure these guys are also looking at your facial features like your nose or cheek bones all this together makes you/ppl beautiful.. Just b/c you have blue contacts doesn't make you beautiful its everything else with it (as i just said) There are many girls/guys with gorgeous natural blue colored eyes.. but they may not have pretty/handsome faces.. so there not categorized as pretty just because of their eye colour I'm sure if you just went out with out your contacts ppl will see you just as attractive.. and it would be ridiculous if a guy stopped liking you b/c you didn't have natural blue eyes.. but lets say he did.. then he's a moron and not worth your time!
I'm not a guy, but I think if they help you feel confident, you shouldn't worry so much. If you tell people you wear them as contacts, girls might think you are only doing it to get attention (therefore, dislike you...girls can be mean..) and the guys wont really care. but its nice to get compliments, and it can be your little secret. Just don't tell any best girl friends, because if you do, they will eventually tell some other girls. Honestly though, this isn't a big deal, just let the guys know (if they are mature enough) that you're wearing contacts (if you feel bad). ....but you can leave out the part about how they're colored ;-)

Well, if a guy likes you JUST because of your eyes, that's pretty dang shallow. Seriously, don't EVER date a guy that likes your for your eyes ONLY. If he doesn't think you're pretty without your contacts, he has serious issues and is not worth wasting your time on, When you get married, your husband is going to have to find out sooner or later you wear contacts, so you might as well tell people you wear contacts now, or else people will hate you for lying and talk crap about you. But it's just fairly rare for dark-haired people to have colored eyes. Especially if they're ice blue. AND DANGG! Woman, you've got some serious moolah. Why spend that much on contacts? Just get the normal colored contacts. (:
