Is plastic surgery for cosmetic reasons ok?
What is your opinion? Do you think women (or men) should change their body by surgery to be more attractive? Is this necessary? Is it healthy?

- no, god gave you a personal image, take it specially, like urself more, dont get plastic surgery its
- By definition cosmetic surgery is not necessary. Healthy is a different question. There are lots of reasons to get plastic surgery, most stemming from a desire to look different or for a confidence boost. I think people should be comfortable with who they are. If you don't like who you are on the inside, no amount of surgery will make you like who you are on the outside. Having said that, I have no objection to people changing their appearance. I've known a small handful of people who've had purely cosmetic things done (breast augmentation, nose jobs, cheek implants, face lifts), and most were very happy with the results. If the surgery is done right, the results are barely noticeable to strangers, but makes a world of difference in the eyes of the patient. One woman in particular broke her nose as a young girl, resulting in a minor bump. You could only really see it up close when viewing her in profile, or feel it if you ran your hand along her nose. She got it fixed on her 18th birthday and was glad she did. I dunno, I guess it's a person to person thing. Nobody really has the authority to say what another person can do to their bodies. If you feel you'd be benefitted, and a qualified doctor thinks it's a good idea, what's the harm? Hope that helps, Odd
