Is liposuction the answer to my tummy problem?

I used to be a slightly larger size 14-16... Following joing a gym, changing my diet etc.. I slimmed down to a size 8 - 10. I have very slender arms, legs, bum.. But my tummy just wont shrink. I go to the gym 5 out of 7 days. I swim, Ive tried crunches, its just so horrible. Is it actually possible to get rid of it or is the only way going to be surgical, if the fat cells are there. My step father said it may be the only route to get rid.... Im 25, want to look good and it actually makes me feel really down.. I dont expect over night results..but its been 3 years!!! i am doing only for myself. I have big personal image issues..Its just really another anxiety... I know there are more important things, I know that very very well... But is there any other effective way? I'd rather not have surgery...If avoidable.. yep. I run 30mins 3 days a week.. Doesnt work for me... I think it'd work if the fat wasnt there already.. I have had abdominal surgery. Twice. This is my fear, that it cant be fixed without surgery...

  1. if it'll make you feel better do it, don't do it for anyone else, just if you want to.
  2. Running is excellent for your stomach. Do more running, every other day at least. Try to run further each time aswell. Push yourself to run for just a little longer each time. Maybe try signing up to do a mini marathon or something similar as a target, and build up to it. Good Luck.
  3. if youve got sagging skin youll have to have a tummy tuck to remove the excess skin, liposuction will only remove fat cells if your stomach is podgy, not get rid of excess skin. after 4 kids my mum had a tummy tuck as she lost weight but couldnt get rid of the excess skin it looks great and shes never looked better. why not book a consultation and they will recommend a procedure that suits your need. good luck itll be worth the pain !x
  4. Funny this question has come up twice today. Try Liposil it is a fat burning injection or there is a very good laser treatment that is much less invasive. I go to see Dr Lucy Glancey 08704585483 for Botox etc, they have clinic in London but I am sure you can find a local clinic to you who does just the same treatments. Good luck
  5. do you have children? the chances are maybe your muscles are torn due to pregnancy and or c-section, this will mean a tummy tuck rather than liposuction, although a bit of liposuction might be needed to even out the final silhouette
  6. I believe if you have tried all you can then this might help. You seem like you have a good head on your shoulders. You answered all the question a plastic surgeon asks. I wish you will
  7. You say you've tried everything. Crunches? Have you got any idea how many abdominal exercises you need to do to get a flat tummy. Crunches only work the rectus abdominus. To get a really flat tummy you need to work the deep transverse abdominus, the spinus erectae muscle and the obliques. My complete abdominal workout takes around 30 minutes and is performed 2 times per week. If I can do it at the age of 45 after having 3 kids I'm sure you can. Also what you could be left with here is loose skin. You may find this article interesting. http://www.amazingabdominals.com/fat_loss_guru/lose_loose_skin.shtml
  8. Liposuction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America. Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star. http://www.tour2india4health.com Hope this helps.
  9. First advice is ignore Brook's post aka the ad for surgery in India. They make that post on practically every plastic surgery post on Yahoo! Answers. Second advice is if you want liposuction, check out SmartLipo. It's not nearly as dangerous as regular lipo and the scars are like half an inch. Also the fat "melts" into your body over a few weeks so there's not any saggy skin with normal lipo. Check it out and see if it's for you.
