liposuction...after the surgery. answers from people who HAVE had lipo plz?

right now im saving for liposuction...im going to get in in about 2 or 3 years. im healthy and my weight is in the middle of "healthy zone". i just CANT loose some stubborn fat in a couple areas ( neck, arms and stomach). i just wanted to know is it nessarsarry to stay over night? how much it hurts and for how long? its been recomended (in general) that after liposuction you should have a friend or someone drive u home and get u situated...is that really nessasary or could i just get a taxi ride and just get my self all situated at home (because the plastic surg. is so close), is there any other info i should know right after the surgery.... please no comments from those who have negative comments without any good facts. im really looking for answers from those who have had lipo

  1. I had liposuction on my thighs and butt about 10 years ago. I had it done by a top Beverly Hills surgeon named Brian Novack. I'm happy in some ways, not in others. It was outpatient surgery. No hospital stay. You will need someone to drive to and from the doctor. You will be super out of it. After the surgery, you will sleep for a long time. There is also a lot of pain. It's been 10 years, though, so it's not quite so barbaric anymore. I was super bruised for a long time. I also lost sensation in my skin (nerve damage) and it took many years to get it back. I needed to smooth out my upside down bowling pin legs, but honestly, I just gained the fat back elsewhere. Now I have a double chin, fat arms, and a fat stomach. Before the surgery, I had skinny arms and a flat stomach. So, I guess I'm glad I did it, but it changed my body forever and now it's way harder for me to lose weight. Good luck.
