Has anyone had laser liposuction done? Does it work?

I started hearing about an alternative to traditional liposuction in which a laser is used instead of a regular cannula. It claims the fat "melts away". Of course, that sounds about as credible as Britney Spears receiving the Nobel Peace Prize. Has anyone had this procedure done? Does it work?

1. Probably not. I think to remove fat cells permanently, you really need to physically suck out the fat. Plus the laser could cause damage to the tissues.
