What are the post-op effects of a laser assisted liposuction?

Public Comments

  1. Hello, Laser-assisted liposuction uses a laser to help "melt" some of the fat before removal. This assists in removing fat a little more easily from areas in which the fat is more firm. The "after" effects are really much like those of liposuction. You lose some of the fat in the areas treated, so as long as the problem for which you have the surgery is for the most part related to fat alone you are in good shape. Liposuction is best suited to patients who have stable weight. Gaining or losing a lot of weight afterward will change the results. It is a contouring procedure and not weight loss. Best Regards, JPD
