Laser Liposuction Cost in NYC?

My Doc has been on CBS, FOX , and Barbara Walters. He is very nice and has a great reputation but he is charging me $7k for my hips and thighs to liposculpted. Then I see all these ads from Medical Spas for so much cheaper. Am I being overcharged ?
