Can money really make us more beautiful?

We see all those makeover shows. It doesn't take long to realize that money creates improved physical beauty in almost everyone. Procedures like laser dental whitening, breast augmentation, nose jobs and liposuction cost bucks. So are all these stars we idolize really worthy of our attention and even lust? Don't they often cheat their way to beauty? Couldn't we easily become them, if only we had the money? Opinions please.

of course we could. i honestly could never do it though, im so content with the way i am. i can think of so many better causes to put my money into.
I think that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. They feel as if they are ugly and try to physically change it with money. But I have seen not so pretty people with another attractive person and they are okay with themselves. Its annoying when people are so self consious of what God gave them that television shows manipulate them making them think they are the ugliest beings on earth.
not really... you can spend alot of money on those kinds of things but if you have an ugly personality, people will see you as ugly.

Sure it can. But if you still feel ugly after spending $10,000.00 or more on surgery your problems run deeper than your face. Remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
yes. money really can make you beautiful. and yeah we idolize their fakeness. i really dont think there are very many real people that look lik some of those drop dead gorgeous girls. its all fake.
or course my friend. money buys love, friends, why not beauty. have you seen pics of celebrities before they were celebs and had all that bling. have u also seen all those celebs that are broke and how fug they get. no more money no more cosmetic surg, blah blah blah
Well shows you are talking about like Extreme Makeover, are totally different then what stars are getting done. I mean yes stars have money so they go and get face lifts and boob jobs, maybe a nose job. The diff is the people on those shows are unsttractive people to start, who go and get a complete surgery makeover, some don't even look the same after. So I don't think the point you make is a good one.
Our curiosity makes us give them our attention. They do cheat into beauty. With money we could all be beautiful on the outside, but that's not what really matters. God made us the way we are and our true beauty is on the inside. Christina Agulara's song "Beautiful" says it all. Sorry I know I spelled her name wrong.

Why is "beauty" so important anyway?? So if they were BORN with those looks, you'd be jealous of them. But they "bought their beauty" and "cheated" so you don't "lust" after them?? Of course money can make someone more beautiful. Whether they were born with it or not, they are still beautiful.
Yes, physically money can buy beauty. The problem is beauty is in the eye of the beholder, you can't buy personality, charm, inner beauty. A beutiful person with an ugly attitude or no personality sucks. Yes, most stars spend big $$$ on beauty and in our shallowness we just adore them and gawk over them...that's just the way of th world.

Nothing will ever beat inner beauty. I don't think most stars have much of that, if they have any at all. I honestly would rather idolize someone who has a beautiful heart and nothing to hide. Stars don't always tell people the truth, and they have many people around them telling them what to do. I don't think they're worth the attention. Many are getting attention because they have money, which only cause those without to become greedy, some steal and lie to get what they want. Let your inner beauty shine, making everyone you speak to forget the looks and you will always be beautiful. Many beautiful people don't think they are, so it's about how you feel on the inside that really counts. The outside is just a mask.
It really depends. In some cases it improves their beauty, but it can also not. I use the case of Priscilla Presley as a 'not' example in the URL below. Her beauty was age-defying...then came surgery!
According to me, 'beautiful is as beautiful does' .. this means that people should not be judged on their outer appearances but on their inner beauty and kind of deeds they do .. sure appearances do matter but if you do your work wisely you can make up for it .. and god is the most brilliant artist so i don't think we should change what he specially created for us .. Just try to live with who you are
you know i think that some people are just jealous of the celebrities so they blame money, photoshop, and anything else for their beauty. have you seen stars without makeup? yeah they look just like us but dont' we wear makeup to enhance ouselves as well? i think some people are just jealous. some stars dont even look bad without makeup (beyonce, tila tequila, and vanessa hudgens) celebrities are humans just like we are and would you mind having a pic of you without makeup?
your sooo right celebs get all these stuff done but i think natural beuty is so much better with a little bit of make-up and nice fashion sense anyone can look like star...surgery for beauty sumtimes goes wrong and thers no goin backk like the saying 'you have to go through pain for beauty' well thats not true its fair enough if you have had breast canser and you want a boob job or something...and its so much money!! :):)
you're totally right that why i dont idolize "stars" unless they are worthy of it... for instance raven symone? people call her fat and she might be chubby but so am i so shes real. the best part is, she doesnt listen to those ppl and still likes the way she looks.

Some stars are not blessed with much theatrical talent, so it would be easier ti become one of them. But others, like B.Streisand, who is a looker herself, are immensely talented, and no one, regardless of their looks, can compare with them. Money can pay for plastic / cosmetic surgery. But just think how those persons have probably felt, unhappy, their entire lives, if they ultimately went out and spent oodles and oodles on surgery. So, can it make us beautiful? I guess it can help. But people who go on and on with surgery cannot feel so beautiful after all.
