How to get rid of a double chin?
I'm 5'7", weigh 120 lbs, and my measurements are 32-26-34. But I've always had a double chin. It's genetic and makes me look and feel much fatter than I am. Is there anything I can do to get rid of the fat under my chin? Is liposuction the only answer? Oh yeah, the problem with general weight loss/exercise is that I think in order to get my chin looking the way I want I would end up being too skinny everywhere else.

- lipo for the chin is not as expensive and bad as other things, and i mean i have one now, and im doing alot of cardio and im hoping it goes away but anyone and every site ive ever asked has always said alot of cardio will eventually help to get rid of it.

- Yes, there is a way to get rid of it, but you must continue to do it all the time, or it comes back. My mother is heavy set, but has no double chin, and she swears by this exercise: Put your head back, and grit or clench your teeth. You should feel a pulling sensation under your jaw and chin. Those are the muscles that needed tightening. It kind of hard to explain, but you'll need to emphasize this pull. You'll know you're doing it right when you feel a tighness under your chin. This is the best I can explain it. Good luck!
- I have the genetic double chin too! Look up face exercises under Amazon or under the website at your local library. I am 50 but happened to see a show when I was in my 20 & I did the exercises & it made me beautiful. I remember even my own parents looked at me at first like what the hell? she looks great & I don't think I even told them but I was doing other things do cause when you look good you start doing other things to look good. I would borrow tapes/DVD's from the library to see what you like & you can learn the exericise without have to buy the tapes. I am trying to think of how to explain the exercise it is 3 things you do. Like move your bottom lip as if it is going to reach up to your nose. I don't mean move with your hand but with your jaw...Ok, then the other 2 are the same thing but one on each side. Take the your bottom lip up but also to the other side & do this with both sides. Sorry I don't know how to explain but maybe youtube.com has a video of this.
- As well as losing weight, you could look into improving your posture. There are really simple exercises you can do with light weights and on your own. I know this may sound very obvious but just standing up straighter and lifting your head up with your shoulders down and back could make a really big improvement.
- :O I totally know how you feel! NECK EXERCISES, for sure! They stretch your neck, so does the fat. Also, don't look down a lot and keep your head up..
