can anyone explain what mesotherapy is?

i've heard of mesotherapy, that it is almost like liposuction. Is this true? If so, i have a ton of it i need to get done. What is the average price for such a treatment? I have a family trait of a good amount of fat right around the upper neck/chin area.

2. Mesotherapy is a form of treatment which involves injecting very small amounts of medication at very shallow depths. It has been used in Europe, particularly in France since the 1950's. There are lipid reduction regimens and they can have some effect especially in small fat collection. You should be aware that this requires multiple treatments over several weeks to have it's effects. It is not inexpensive, though the price compares quite favorably with liposuction. If you have large areas to be treated, it is unlikely that mesotherapy alone will do what you are looking for. Some people use it to supplement liposuction, and to smooth out ripples and unequal areas after liposuction. it is not a really popular modality in the US yet, but it is gaining in popularity. Be sure you have a trustworthy practitioner doing the treatment. Properly done, it is quite safe. Improperly done, however, the treatments can lead to some pretty significant problems.
3. Mesotherapy--is very very unsafe--dont even plan on doing it. Its commonest and the severest complication is Cirrhosis of Liver--caused by the chemical thatis injected over a period of time.
