What age would be appropriate for a young girl to get laser surgery?
My 13-year-old cousin hit puberty a few months ago and she's been getting facial hair, mustache, chest hair, and more hair on her arms and legs. Her mom wouldn't let her get laser surgery since she thinks her skin will grow more hair in the future. Is it true (since I didn't get more facial hair until I reached16)?

- The thing about laser treatments is that they're not super effective. The hair is, more likely than not, going to come back and then you've spent all that money for, approximately, nothing. Tell your cousin that the chest hair (so long as it's not thick and coarse) is natural, as is the arm hair. Mustache's can be removed with very gente cream removers and legs can be shaved. (NOTE: If any of the hair appears excessively course or black or looks too 'manly', I would suggest she go to make sure that she doesn't have a testosterone imbalance, which will cause excess hair growth.)
- i have never had laser hair removal but i know its painful and facial hair is something you can deal with for a life time. i have facial hair and i just have one of those electronic hair trimmers....they work well but my hair grows in darker every time....not too noticeable but i notice it.an appropriate age for the level of pain i think would be 18. when she is old enough to speak for herself and make her own decisions.
