What is the procedure and recovery time for laser surgery for stage 0 cervical cancer?

I have recently been told that i need to have laser surgery and I have tried searching it on the web to find out exactly what goes on, do u feel pain, the recovery time? (all the important stuff that my ignorant doctor neglected to inform me of) and I am coming up with nothing just the same answers as its a high beam of light. So if anybody knows could u please help me out.....
